Paradise, Lost On Me

flip flops are hard to run in
but not as hard
as being chased
by a barefoot cougar

I'll just stay in the cabana
until I can walk cool
in my boots

mafiosos don't wear
bermuda shorts
I'm not Italian, but
neither do I

I'll just stay in the cabana
until I can walk cool
in my boots
and jeans

I do like sunglasses
kinda' hollywood flyboy style
but those sun visors
got to go

REALITY

I dreamed I slept upon a cloud
of thought which spanned the galaxy
enfolding my form in quantum shroud
which set my sparking photons free.

Each spark transversed the if and when;
future and past were all the same
from bang to final blackness, then
that first time life was brought to flame.

Within the cloud were sounds so strange
clicks and whirrs and things unheard
but ordered so as to arrange
into thoughts and even words.

Friday daylight beach

Friday daylight beach

Yesterday was Friday
we went to the far off beach
'twas a sunny and bright day
driving was fun all the way

There we saw all in bikinis
all guys almost in nude
brawling tummies
not worried

all were sun bathing
half on their backs
the other half upwards bound
no one was worried
who was looking around

they all know we all have concealed
what we don't else wise have revealed

we all similar desires reveal
come sun bathe with us
please.

Transgressive Fear

I'm so worried, stretched and drawn,
really worried, my skin is torn
To think, that ghastly gleaming grimace comes for me,
Too soon! I've yet to save each moment's words,
To build a mountain, a mountain range of all life's
savage, leering, laughing joys and scattered turds.
I fall back, glaring rapaciously into the roiling night
terror sucks me from the ground into a wormhole.

Daydreaming.

I went away for awhile;
cloud-soaked loneliness,
microwaveable dinners for two.

False adaptations, recreations,
wearing people out.
Like Vuitton-heeled girls,
wearing ankle-high socks.

Embrace foreign-tongued truths
with a German named Laura.
She’s magnificent.

There’s buskers on the sidewalk
they sing of something, soft and sweet,
about a group of boys off to war.
Throw them a penny with a two-headed Queen,
worthless yet unique.

PROPAGANDA FILM

A house with a family of storefront dummies
Posing in a living room of black and white,
Two miles from ground zero; the boy my age.
I had the same cowboy shirt, the same goo hairdo;
Then the white flash of the bomb and pfff...
All pulverized into shadow. Blackness.

Did those bastards not hear my silent screams,
Cramped and dirty under the school room desk?

you never believed

After all the days and years
The struggling of my work
The motivation I gave you as mine
The exposure and time
Departure ahead of us
Best looks I never had

Varsity came knocking
Both with lack of interest not to go
Unfortunately never had I had the cash

Time revealed the truth
All the days I promised
Hated to see you leave
But had nothing to do

Misunderstanding One’s Endless Wisdom

Insidiously, as joy tinged with salt,
emphasizing my primacy like a
xenotrop, we met one day, Remember?

I was filled with awe that even you could
see the majesty and authority
that permeates me from whiskers to tail.

We took those first few hours to establish
our mutual understanding that all
right thinking creatures would acknowledge the
supremacy of my thoughts and actions.

How your smile lit up your abode that day;
it was inspiring how quickly you
proved you wanted to be worthy of me.

A Pastoral Symphony

A Pastoral Symphony

Sustained by sunlight, gentle rain,
rosebushes grow in my flower garden.
At dawn I listen to the rising breeze softly
whispering in the foliage; I reflect on all
my unfulfilled wishes and rueful entreaties
that had come to naught. But my seemingly
fragile will is resilient, like the dew-glistening
spider web that entraps hapless small prey.
Here, in this nature spot, I find my haven
where I feel free of care.

Juvenilia

"Pow! Wham! Splat!
take that!
you irreconsillable twat!"

our irascible superhero
slams out mind altering tweets
on his raggedy old Mac
from his mother's
cluttered
boy-cave basement
while flaunting
grievous misspellings
and an intuitive contempt
for punctuation

"zap! boom! slam!
you crusty old bitch"

another takedown
will she ever recover?
NO!
