The Tree (September Contest)

A September day
So bright yet so damp
Disturbing the rhythm
Set by summers lamp
The colors of autumn
Were spread all around
A chill in the air
And leaves on the ground

A curbside bench
Facing a garden
Looking as inviting
As a plush ottoman
Unwanted weeds
And a thicket or two
A barren tree stood
Amidst these outgrew

the neopoet he!

we wish you well
pain can be overcome
by composing poetry
as you do friend
i only hold your morale high up
upon the bamboo tree
some day
one day
we all have to go

why bamboo ?
ask me
its straight and unbreakable
like thee
so be happy
like me
I died in 1977
AND
came alive
just to read your indelible poetry
my mind has so been branded
by
thy poetry

BREADLE BOXX

THE APARTMENT is huge
"I like the space" she says
and sits by the iron heater
sniffing glue...the old television
chattering like monkeys on Saturdays
at the zoo....

the inheritance trust grows or dwindles
like rust.....I havent a clue
but my ravenous greed shines on
the smile of my lips
my wolf eyes with lanky hair

it has become a cage...a prison
and a lair..

VIGIL

VIGIL

I follow the day as it comes
and acquiesce to its limitatons
My will gives in to existence::
the body is broken beyond all prayer
the mind languishes in defeat
and the soul cowers in its stillness
too fearful to be discovered.
I keep a silent vigil and wait
while the hours go by
wondering which will be mine.

The age of miracles is gone
and faith has fallen into myth.
Where is the Christ I knew.
Where is the bliss of Heaven's Hope
Who has betrayed human kind.

Autumn’s Lovelier Nights

Yeah come over...
the night is young ...
we are warm ...
love is in the air
all around...

SILVER LININGS

SILVER LININGS

Silver-lined clouds and rainbow rains
buttercup fields in West Virginia
days when my heart felt another
safely sleeping in the womb
the sudden death of being born
and the sudden birth that death brings

Storm Tossed...

Ill winds blew in from the south
Waves built up in a series
Grey skies poured from the mouth
Brought forth the miseries

No more calm before the storm
Terror takes it's place
Nothing now, is the norm
See fear's lonely face

The fight to keep on swimming
Against the tide of lies
Brings no hope of winning
No thought of sunny skies

Just when all is thought a loss
A hand comes from above
Lifts one from the waves that toss
Buoys them with true love

I am number ninety three
named for my gestation vat
where I first came to be
and then was decanted stat!

A tube was then run down my nose
a direct route for all nutrients
to my stomach tasteless fluid flows.
I know no taste, I know no scent.

At two cycles they replaced one eye
with a telephoto infra red lens.
I guess it hurt, I didn't cry.
Emotions deemed the worst of sins.

Forgive These Painful eyes

Eye hurts first thing this morning
Morning light has me in mourns
Black eye patch just won't do
Won't fit under my glasses, boohoo.

My better eye, not so pain free
It to hurts this very hour, help me
Taking the lead in the light
I can't deal with this blurred eye.

mermaidz and marmalade

the heat forms upon the upper lip
shimmers on the waves
the breast of the beat
sloshing on skin and scales
the damp starfish puckered
in its home
a shadowrealm
of shells and worn sand
