Enigma

Mother's bane
a total disappointment.

Combat boots
and studded jeans.

The perfect contradiction
from multicolored hair to tattooed feet.

Poster child for emotional chaos
tradition's worst nightmare.

Rebuking society
stereotypes gone to hell

Leaving unforgettable fingerprints
the writing's on the wall.

I wonder why the rebellious youth have to have Tattoos and piercings to make a point, dying their hair silly colours and sometimes going off the rails..
I will not take their tattoos to my grave, or the holes in the bodies that reflect ancient times, I shall protest at their protest and hope that some of them will run the world we have left them, even if it is a bloody mess lol.
Good write I am going into my cave as it is quiet there, shall I ask the universe what's next or shall it remain a surprise to you..

I, am one of those with colored hair and a tattoo. No piercings...not my thing but my hair is a violet/red and I have the symbol for music tattooed on my one arm. I am a fairly liberal individual but stay out of trouble. I have a college education and am getting my Bachelor's. Maybe someday I will run the world..glad you enjoyed.

Run the world as the poorest person you can find would want it run ??
Take care out there, getting your Bachelors is better than going after those married ones it shows a responsible attitude LOL..
Only joking as usual, good to have a reply to comments,

I have always rebelled against societial norms. I raise my kids to be good, responsible individuals with their own identities, likes/dislikes some similar to my own but many are different. There are many things I don't agree with and won't discuss them here so I don't offend anyone. I would love to run the world from a poor person's point of view. It's the average joe's who make up the majority of our population and can never seem to get ahead because we are not afforded the same opportunities as some.

a neat, short package! It said it all in a few lines. I was particularly fond of the lines:

Poster child for emotional chaos
tradition's worst nightmare

then the lines:

leaving unforgettable fingerprints
the writing's on the wall

I think that maybe one little change you might consider; is to use [ it is ] instead of [ it's ].
A little thing, but I think it could help the flow, for a line that seems too short.

This must be the place, 'cause there ain't no place like this place anywhere near this place.

Good suggestion. I will implement it later on. I have a few other short ones you may like. I have been testing new techniques..making use of using language in diff ways.

meaning etc....saw a youthful beauty on a small stunt bike
with pink hair...I had to run my old cranky frame across
two street lanes to avoid been run down by the ruthless
force of todays harried traffic....But I was rewarded with
those feral watchful eyes...Maybe my purple shades
and short hair..white Los Angeles shirt with embroidered
stitching hand on cell phone on hip and pull start wallet..
ADIOS city graphix shoes....
Being a creative soul I like your descripts.....Wardrobe
is so important in writing and plays..movies etc..
Like a fingerprint!

Enjoying your writing havent been here long enough
to cover all the broadband of my writing sites to
be of value Im afraind ...

Thank You!

you enjoy my writing :). I enjoy yours as well, just haven't had alot of time to comment in the last few days but I will get caught up. I tend to wear many hats in regards to appearance and wardrobe. How I dress when I am home with my kids usually consists of athletic pants and t shirts but when I go to a metal concert, I am the one with the combat boots and studded jeans. I change my hair color every few months, various shades of red/violet or whatever mood strikes me. When I go to work, i work in an office, so i have to be professional. Wardrobe and description can really give a reader insight into a character. Glad you see the benefit in such descriptions.

as your title is apt..ENIGMA
we run the deeper course
and grow
societal norms

function and form...

Metal..well spoken and said
I know many Metal Mommas as I call
them...their t-s and hardware
and colour additions

the jungle the forest the glade
the feild..the urban

I enjoy such vast
variance and shade
the subtle
the overpowering

I push this
sometimes
one can live totality
in the ecliptic wander
of personas....

"madness as reality"
Karen..B..

I am that. Much to the dismay of family n friends. My two year old is a rather eclectic dresser, picks out her own clothes and style. I appreciate everyone for their individuality. It is something I encourage. Glad you view persona the same.
