Didn't God Make me to Survive?

Didn't God make me to survive?
Didn't He make you, and I
to find our way through,
and didn't He make me
to find my way to you?

Why do I sit here so depressed and beaten
when the ants and the birds,
the elephants, grass, and even trees
all survive?
Like they've been doing for
billions of years.

No matter what
we were made to live
you and I.
The good Lord made us to survive,
and I've got no time
to debate that.

I wonder still
if animals have social anxiety,
or philosophy even,
or if those are nothing more
than human constructs.

Hello. This poem reflected some of my more recent thoughts, and I thank you writing such an enjoyable and relatable poem.

The ants and elephants are tough, but haven't quite been surviving for billions of years, though certainly millions (not important but I had this thought while reading the poem and wanted to record it).

I like the ending, though I feel as if there is an opportunity to further tie it back to the ideas in the beginning.

'I wonder still
if animals have social anxiety,
or philosophy even,
or if those are nothing more
than human creations,
because God only made me to survive.'

Perhaps something like this, though I enjoy the ending nonetheless.

Great poem, and I look forward to reading more!
