Don't Mess With My Machine

.
I am settled in mind
of death and taxes,
politics,poverty,
and social status

a philosophical bent
has lent a helping hand
resolving these quaint issues
I know where I stand

but mess with my computer
without my consent
I go lunatic crazy
with only one way to vent

bitching and whining
like a spoiled brat
why oh why
do you keep doing that?

half a day wasted
to get it back in order
the other half spent in
recriminations spat toward her

I must re-read
those dry scholarly works
seems I missed the chapter resolving
"silly stubborn quirks"!

first, I want to thank you for stopping by so regularly...I wish I could reciprocate more frequently, but am still quite shy about critiquing any one. I'll get over it someday (or not).

In the meantime, please don't become a stranger. I do appreciate the time it takes you to visit as many poets as you do. I shall always be grateful for your comments

and i don't mind if you don't reciprocate
i know my writes don't always appeal to all

don't worry about critiquing - just start off letting people know if you like their work, and why (if you know why - we don't always do we? things appeal to our deeper being and reason has no say...)

then when you get used to doing that, you can start letting people know where something just doesn't sit right for you when you read it -

this is all testing ground for poets who want to improve and we can't if no-one tells us what they like and don't like (and hopefully why)

keep up the great poetry
