Sunku ( The Dance)
tonight we dance
silken touch
eyes lock
tonight we feed
savored taste
bite soft
tonight we sleep
dreamer you
I, too

"The mountain upside down! I quite like it in this form, although I know it's not strictly the form, I sense the bite. I'll have a look at this workshop, thank you. Cheers, Chris." - February 2018

About Me
I'm still relatively new at poetry and I normally read and write in haste. One day I'll have a poetry holiday where I'll slowly devour words over a week, preferably in front of a log fire, and hopefully sometimes with wine.
I've had a few major changes recently and writing everyday has helped shape my truths.
I live in amongst rolly polly hills with the sounds of rain on the roof, tin creaking in the sun and the sounds of the birds. What a spectacular island this is.
I'll poetry quote Teresa Hooley as it sums my life to this moment.
Thaw - Teresa Hooley
An elfin bell on two notes ringing,
The tit mouse starts his airy singing;
The blackbird pulls up from the lawn
Poor worm no longer frost withdrawn.
The sparrow bathes in pools unfrozen,
The trush makes love to his chosen,
The chaffinch is no longer dumb -
They are so glad the thaw has come.
