fuckin bitchy

I can visualize you
as a serpent
entwined
with another one
chaste at first
then roar like a lion

You emerge the strongest
of lovely men
robust
humorous
cantankerous

and
then like a rolling discus
the ones you twine with
will you curse…
when in them
you finally disburse…

the perilous
of all humanly wine
then once you un- entwine
you will find another
snaky one in line

till then lover poet
remain like wine
in a position you entwine...

Acetate

ACETATE

squinting through lens
upon an epoch in time
the light appears darkest
the darkest appears light
I inhale oxides
reversing the negative
yellowed curled edges
refocus distortions
your frame clears

Watch Out

Their fear crept into my soul
I was caught watching your pain
They say I smiled at your demise
Yet I was only picking over your bones.

I did scatter them to the elements
They didn't know you'd asked me
I now cry for their stupidity to end
Can they not let you rest as I do?

Wretched souls caught in their world
We cannot tell them of their peril
Can't they see the evil they are
Dripping hate and greed on fertile soil

Boy Wonder

rumpled jeans outlandish jersey
tussled hair grass stained hi tops
rolled up pant legs
a study in concentration
serious business
the lawnmower whirrrs
a Fisher Price song
in random fashion
over newmown grass
green stained shoes
testimony to his calling
helping dad cut the lawn

think not of me

the hard hits of life
seem so true,
when some one
who is in love with you
only then you do..
how love does ensue
along with you
in reverie we all dwell,
like summers gone blue
in memory we sway
either way...
when love sings songs
of life and dismay,

then we seek the far distance
our eyes closing bleak
Oh horizon
where are you going,
leaving me

p r e m o n i t i o n

notions in the dark
we are lands
capable of breath
hushed in a desparate
hate
this love we tender
the flame sharp
the kisses soft

nape of winter
rushing in its banks
past all the steady
knowns

and the rain is falling
like all our words

There is a sadness personified
rubbing at my core,
that robs me of my harmony

and voids me of true peace
because of the way that others, are.

Therefore, I am grateful for THIS interlude
that awes me with it’s friendship,
and brings into my life, Light.

So, I readily welcome
it’s universal embodiment,

that keeps no task-log,
and knows no earthly bounds.
It has been often said

that a cold-hearted orb rules the shadows of the night,
and that daylight possesses the Universe’s grace;

opaque dreams

O beautiful night

your black wings

extinguish the light

cloak me in darkness

paint my face in shade

for I am a shadow to life

existing on ash and soot

I am sustained in a void

covered in mother earth

my mask of horror is hidden,

but a full moon unveils my face

The Rotting Ballerina

"Shall we dance" you ask me
"You never dance with us".
"I am already dancing, can't you see ?
I 'm a clockwork ballerina
spinning around myself,
I 'm a porcelain doll
rotating around the sun
in my white tutu
I dance
in my pink leotard
I swing
my wedding dress
spins
around the sun,
I age,
with every spin,
I 'm dying
every minute
rotating
every day
rotting
dancing
to the tune of Time
I fade

For Rebecca

The afternoon curves round and over me
and birdsong comes from across the valley
or closer,
the birds harmonising
like Mingus or Charlie Parker;
the improv almost beyond following
and why bother?
there's no need
the birdsong, without trying is part of me
like a cough or a memory

of you my love.
I can't remember your voice or barely,
only your face on a video reminds me
of who you were, how we loved
