Lost Love

By: Alex Tanner

Should I recall those blissful times
When we like climbing flowers entwined;
Our blossoms scented evenings air
As Love and Lust forsook our cares.

Your laugh was soft and gentle,
A butterflies wings in spring,
Dancing on the sunbeams
Enough to make me sing.

Eyes so bright they sparkled
Diamonds on moonlit snow;
Flashing hither and thither
To make my pulse race so.

We held each other gentle
Yet tight so not to break,
Though deep, our love could never last,
Different paths our lives would take.

For fleeting months we tarried,
Each time we met we knew
This may be the last time
For lovers hours are few.

If I love ten thousand women
Tis you I will recall;
You gave yourself so willing,
For your passion I did fall.

On black nights as the wind howls,
As I lie in a bed so cold,
Your soft voice echoes 'cross the years
To warm my lonely soul.

Give Me Shelter From The Storm

Give Me Shelter From The Storm

Written by: Mario Vitale
With faces in the window having storms in the night

You gave me promises they gave me pain
When will we ever live to understand this game
Give me shelter from the storm within cause we may never live again
In shattered dreams brought through its timely theme

Many are still wandering alone in the darkness of night

A plate of desire poured out with a creme sauce of desolation

Pearls in Paradise

I have always love pearls
The reason is for they go with anything
You wear will look pretty good and make
Me feel good and deep inside of my heart
The heavenly love of pearls that shine bright
As I wear pearls that remind me of my loved ones
Who have passed away and how much I miss them.
Pearls are like apart of me as I have comfort to
Know they are with me in through my pearls.
A paradise city where I live in brings me hope
To overcome in my head the reality that God has given

Smiles

I have traveled the earth
for miles and miles,
and found things little worth
warm friendly smiles.

Over strange foreign lands
by great lakes and deep seas,
always are welcoming hands
with kind smiles to please.

It's the language of the universe
be you brown black or white,
and translates in rhyming verse
in bright day and dark night.

For a smile is sweetly made
of understanding so kind,
seeking congenial trade
and can be seen by the blind.

old lust did rust

lusty love
first lust
then love!

How do you say
lust is not a need
after lust only
comes
love indeed

as lovers today
are born each day,
out of wedlock
by lust as they say

when a new babe is born
on a sunny day
many wait for that day

when that lover
new one will grow
in their desired
hubbys way

later lust will be returned
in exchange of love
so love is lust
and
nothing more,
I am quite sure,
what my master
once did say

Women With Their Moods

Women With Their Moods

Just when I get into the groove,

The bell began to rang at closing time
Do you all remember when you were broke
Down to your last thin dime
Getting to the top of the ladder

There still was no where to go
What a tremendous effort and climb
The aura of the plaintiff was extremely rare
This is not another game of truth or dare
With women and their moods

Beading

I love beading my way
Through life as I can see
The work I have done.
Things have gotten so
Hectic in my attitude that
I need a passion to ease
My pain. Like mindedness is the
Anatomy of being yourself to know
You life and what you are meant to do.
Beading is my personal statement said
To my calmness, as life takes me back to
The fact I can feel through my feelings with these
Colorful sparkled looking things that I call home.
Beading to get my life back on my mind and body

Bust or Trust

Forecast gloom and doom
Promising expansive boom
Elephant in room

Be Proud To Be Different

Be brave to step forward,
embrace who you are.
when others see you awkward,
show them you're a star.

Let them be a follower,
while you take the lead.
Don't you cower and falter
as the envious hearts bleed.

Remember,
the peacocks with their colourful
feathers
can never fly far like an eagle.

subversion

sun ignites the darkness
the lamps simmer to silence
leaves drip from the ink line
forest
the seasons fleeting departure

Vamp of dreams
weary walk
I soothe the ache
of your talk
to the longing brush
of an arm or strands
of hair
subverting eyes
the flash of
competent hearts

A thousand islands
of thoughts
speaking waves
on rock and shoal

This Almost Kiss

How does love speak
In the deep soulful stillness
Were madness melts in bliss
As tears fall on warm sin

Love comes like a whisper
Only your lips breath
Upon my lips - I am
Haunted by this almost kiss

Lover comes quietly as rain drops
In the soft warm dark
This love a moment known
In a moment gone

Like the air between your fingertips
Quietly as rosebuds
Talk to thin air
