Remember Me

Remember me like the sun
That rises from the horizon
Like a paint of gold that spills
All over the dark sheet of the night
Like the fleeting clouds
Above a world that is still and unchanging
Remember me like waking from a slumber
Unable to recall a lovely dream
Like once a beautiful house
In time abandoned and forgotten
Remember me like the mist
That bathes the grasses with dew
Like the gust of wind
That blows but never comes back
Like a moving scenery
A sleepy-eyed traveler sees on his long journey
Like a wonderful song
Buried deep in the heart and can't be sung
Remember me like the moon
That fades into the dawn of daybreak
Like the purple sky
Lasting only for ephemeral
Like the melancholy
Felt in a gray, rainy afternoon
Remember the sunshine
When thinking of the bright days
The laughter
In a paradise of light-sleepers
The happy times
Of my being clumsy - the silly one in your eyes
Feel the happiness
As you relive the past in your nostalgia
And if perchance
The memories bring you tears
Then, remember me not
But I would still be here
In this field where wildflowers bloom
Playing in the sun
Free and innocent again
Living in halcyon days
And forever remembering you...

Review Request (Intensity):
I want the raw truth, feel free to knock me on my back
Last few words:
"I awoke from a distant dream...In my dream, I was a child again...watching the early morning sky beside my late grandmother...listening to the song of a morning bird and it brought me tears...Such a sweet memory brings so much bitter-sweet emotion"

Oh Magnificent, ablaze with beauty and poetic joy,
memories of such import that they are burnt into your
mind, and can reflect out to us their ephemeral wonder,
we are privileged to see hear and feel the intensity of
your vision. Wonderful Longobardolino, you blossom,
even on the old gnarled tree of life.

If there be a spirit to see this, she will be made happy
like sunshine bursting forth on a dull day.

Anni's love.

but the reflection of the moon on water, lives." Kenzan.

jus remember me too
for having read you
like a passer by too
It is a wonderful first time poetry,
I have read of yours
I wonder if you have glossed over
any of mine...
though none will or would be as comparable with yours
just remember me
across the green fields
or those with yellow blooming seeds
as your desire to be remembered surpasses all
and as you say....
if you can't remember me,
then I will still continue to remember thee
and read your luscious poetry

loved

just gorgeous loved x

Sorry for the delay ^_^

I have to add that this is like a whole galaxy of haiku poems and
could probably make many of them, each little moment in the poem
reminding us of some view of life, like many pictures flashing past
our eyes, or the different snowflakes falling waking us each with its
different shape-but here you have all the elements
in one big treasure chest, let loose.

Think about that, Basho would make much out of your many visions
wouldn't he? I too love him as I do the humour of Issa,
and many other poets of the east.

I have never found this one, that I learned first in Norwegian!

Bamboo shadows
brush the steps
but no dust stirs

Do you know which one this is alluding to Gardenia?

Love from Ann of Norway.
