Neopoet's Renga 7 (A Spring Renga Splash)

The brook serenades
lullaby to a willow
to sooth its weeping
it's drooping branches in cheer
rustle a sigh of relief

All buds are bursting
the willow sweeps the grass
dew drops make rainbows
warm rain floats in the quiet air
seeking dry roots hiding there.

Pink cherry blossoms
and rosy red azaleas
blue birds sing, mating
winter has pass spring beyond
summer pollen takes my voice

The raised old branches
welcoming sunlight and rain
for life to prosper
when the summer breeze returns
virgin leaves twirl in a dance

Rays of light beckon
delightful perfumed breezes
young animals rut
birds are stirring in their nests
butterflies flirting with blooms

While sun sweeps the sky
shadows shorten then lengthen
tanning green fields brown
some flowers bloomed while some paled
some laid to rest unnoticed

Briar prickly vines
berries along trailer vines
green red not yet black
akin to adolescence
in youthful exuberance

Meadows keep secrets
while butterflies pollinate
in sunshine and rain
seeds find womb in fertile soil
awaiting their turn to sprout

Beautiful sunshine
a warmth spreads over the earth
shade is now so cool
under this sun thrown shadow
protected from summers glow

Home for the summer
flocks of song birds flew down south
mother nature calls
hot waves one hundred degrees
will scorch the land once again

Wild flowers rebirth
scallion onions by the steps
summer time again
let's hit the parks and gardens
and bonds with Mother Nature

an ode to spring
a marvel of how the blooms return with the warmer weather
in tropics the rare of plants dont germinate until over
a hundred and ten degrees

in our north and northern still climes
the ground is frozen solid and yet
in spring the buds grow from trees
and bulbs from the ground

i am looking at location of poets and
dialects and how words will be pronounced
and drawn by slower with shortened
noun and verbs

i remember a jamaica vacation
with family..my mom worked
hard and took us there.
i am poor living with people
with my own issues
but

the vacation
the cuba shortwave stations
drew in speech in another
language delivered in rapid
fire deliver..
but the same is true with
english advertisements too

imagine if we taught languages
with poetry!

i like spring
and this poem

thank you very much

Glad you like. It's nice to read your poetic comment again...

I would if you insist on hearing my rady hoarse voice still fighting with the after affect of laryngitis.
