Anapest Example (Bottom Line Workshop)
Since everyone is moving onto Anapest here is my example. Remember we strive for strict form for the purpose of the workshop. Seldom will you write a poem entirely Anapestic. Help yourself by using polysyllabic words (words of many syllables). They, more than single or double syllable words, tend to mold to a meter surrounding them.
In a poem unaware lurks a line Anapestically true.
It is not very often that poems of this type are complete.
So then try as we might we are likely to fail at this form.
Therefore, blending is called for in poems of this nature and style.
In a poem / una-ware / lurks a line / Ana-pest- / ically true.
It is not / very o- / ften that poems / of this type / are com-plete.
So then try / as we might / we are like- / ly to fail / at this form.
Therefore, blen- / ding is called / for in poems / of this na- / ture and style.

There is a personal preference there.
Generally it is one syllable, but many people speak it with two. I accept both. My version will be mine, other will be theirs.
Simple.
