The Age of Innonence

When I was young'
I thought angels have butterfly wings,
I believed the clouds are fluffy magic pillows
Where they gather around to play and sing
I lived in a world of imaginations,
seeing myself as a superhero or a prince,
rescuing people who are in trouble
defeating evil, punishing them for their deeds.
I show my emotions freely,
never one to hide behind a veil of hypocriscy
and I am so much happier
because I can accept the real me
Looking back now,
I longed for those days again

Papa autumn wears a cloak
of yellow, gold and red.
A gust of winter whispers
to rest his weary head.

He sheds his outer garment,
which scatters on the floor.
It's then he yields to slumber
and soon begins to snore.

His garb is spread in shambles
across the forest glade,
bejewelled with frosted crystals
where shafts of light cascade.

A chubby dormouse nestles
with nuts around his chest,
he's hiding snug and cosy
inside his woven nest.

THE SOUNDS OF LONELINESS

THE SOUNDS OF LONELINESS II

there is a silence deep
and unforgiving
a longing that tears
at your soul
and rips at your heart
with no mercy.
You count the time
with each breath
that you take
and stand alone
in this Godless world,
Heaven's lost promise.

Inner Light

This night was kissed
with white satin light

with gentle ease
the breeze
lifted my curtain
in the rhythm
of my heart

Sepia shadows
rippled on the roof
the hum of crickets
reverberated
through the air
this was a discovery
of unfailing peace

this munimented minute
I etched into my mind
as a memory pearl
and means to escape

in the cacophony
of a cyclone of time
as sadness falls
onto my face

REFUGE

MY WORLD
SO MUCH TURMOIL.
COME HEAR ME .
FOR YOUR EYES PUT ME AT PEACE.
YOU TOUCH ME WITH SOFT WINDS
AND ENTER MY HEART WITH LOVE .
COME LET ME HOLD YOU.
PROTECT YOU.
WHILE IM AT EASE.
BE MNE FOR ETERNITY.
IN MY WORLD THERE IS NOTHING WITH OUT YOU.
LET ME BE YOUR OMEGA.
THE ONE YOU REST YOUR HEAD ON.
FOR I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU WEARY OR BROKEN.
MY FIRE FEEDS OFF YOUR AIR.
LEAVE ME WITH YOUR HANDS.
I CAN ONLY GIVE YOU MY HEART.
BUILD AN EMPIRE FOR MY QUEEN, MY LOVE.

Threnody

Cracked glass
unmelted beneath
a blackened sky,
Where to begin
on such a day?

She died.

What to say,
about such a life?
Rose red petals
wilting out on the floor.

So promising, yet so forgotten.

Regret is a tempest,
tearing at the soul,
a path of self-loathing
and destruction left behind.

She loved him
like no other,
saw the good
through the bad.

Loved without a price.

Pulse points of Monet

in January
French water lilies
follow me

Lilies ...

I noticed that
even in death
lilies held beauty,
arched to one side,
white petals
glistened in the light

There were poems
in their drooping folds.
I reached into a void.
They cascaded
onto my fingers,
draping velum
across my hands.

Words seeped
into my skin
filling my veins,
they flooded my form.
A thousand sighs of awe
fell from my lips.

Down Freedom Avenue

Walk with me down Freedom Avenue
Let us dance to a rythm of a new life
Through the hunger the hardships the pain strife.
Past the bigots and their slaves
Past the rancid bastards
Feeding their sickening rage
Past the greed, the grime, the hatred, the filth,
Past the whores and the junkies molesting our earth
Walk with me down Freedom Avenue
We will never be held down by chains.
Never bound by the filth of ignorance and never afraid
Never thrown to the wolves never food for the sheep.

d e t r i m u s I n t r i ca te

Shelter oils
Violet night
all empty the
shade of waiting
Enthropic echoes

Await hypnotic
breath drawn weariness
sleek and rough borne
Basking in lurid tranquil

Seasons
Sleek silhouettes
In morn cast pirhouttes
