You Make Me!

You Make Me!

If I can bring
Upon your face
A smile,
My life has been
Worth its while
But the heart feels otherwise
No, no snow
The question does not arise,
Does not arise
It’s the heart beat
That beats faster
Ere one dies
Or
Than one does know
My smile is the smile of faces
Who see?
The mini Shakingspeare in me

My child you are so young and bold,
My life is aging
Ere times going cold.
Still upon my life
I shall smile
With folks like you,
I can make them walk a mile
That day is not far away
Smile for your sake
I shall always
Yes I may.

I shall return
The story behind this poem
hides the love
for a maiden
a child
God had erroneously laden
for ever on a wheel chair
and dumb
its my love to be given
to such a one
who herself does rise
to bring soft tears
of joy in my eyes
albeit its sad
I never cry
no matter how much I try
but this little one
brought a tear in my eye.

Yes Undoubtedly
Shirley
The Shakingspeare
Speaketh
From the indomitable dungeons
Of aeons gone by
Remembered till today
So they say
No bard like the one
Shall walk this way
Stay.
I say
Stay thy thoughts,
For just one more day
A new one has been born
Since Shirley
Hath arrived since yesterday
