The Season

AAH! The dreaded season has arrived!
Goal!! One word sums it all
kiss goodbye to your peaceful nights
its the reign of football!

When dawn greets the day
I'll be dragging myself from the bed
it'll be the same panda eyes everyday
with a string of curses in the head
before the night returns with a vengeance
ruled by fans brimming with excitement
who never fail to break the silence
and send my sleep to early retirement!

For them its a season to congregate and celebrate
for me its a time for morning headaches
when my focus scores the worst grades
and I'm walking around, half awake

Adults acting like young hooligans,
the excessive noise pollution from televisions,
taunting me to unleash my inner demons
when fools refused to listen to reasons.
Don't let me here another shout of "Goal!!"
I'm already feeling murderous, losing my grip
in my heart, a grim shade unfolds
my patience stretched thin, I'll admit

This season is sucking away my energy,
turning me into a grumpy, irritable zombie
I wished it will reach its end quickly
so that my life can return to normalcy
till then I'm ageing rapidly
