Bring in the Spring Renga 14

Sheer excitement
at awakening of spring
on rosy petals
chorus of peepers at eve
and purple finches at dawn.

Whispers of chill days
birds burst into morning songs
gracing new spring days
an equinox passes
first white then golden flowers.

The days grow longer
in the season of rebirth,
younglings come to life
spreading warmth marks winter's end
as bears rise from their slumber.

I just love spring time
budding trees blossoms blooming
birds squawking treetops
warm breeze flowing in my bones
sleepy critters come to life.

Crunchy slippage
cracked puddles everywhere
birds fight in bare trees
spring creeps in without a care
flowers bursting everywhere.

Ere spring is sprung
'tis like my body is strung
flowers alone bloom
where are my darling’s roses
Valentine came bit too soon.

A spring to the steps
making birds glee as they perch
on sunlit tree tops
feeders eagerly welcome
the hungry chirpy creatures.

Winter brought forth sleep
spring revived brings forth new life
for sleepy poets
the March flowers are budding
blossom smiling everywhere.

A gypsy spirit
speaking Bohemian language
are the wild daisies
when the season is over
the phase is caged in a vase

The March wind does blow
it is Spring they told me so
blew down the big trees
soon as I pick myself up
I shall reach for warmer days.

Favorite season
for the flora and fauna
after wintry chills
like goosebumps on naked limbs
leaves abound in renewed thrill

On the wings of spring
millions of pollen travel
new blooms come to life
the beauty won't end
unless the wings are broken.

Goodbye to Woolens
welcome to spring collections
tees, tanks and hot pants
days get long, shorter the yarn
turning on the heat and charm.

Bees now make beeline
to kiss maidenheads gently
sipping sweet honey
queen bee keeps a watchful eye
buzzing "go back get some more"

Green and gold of spring
bulbs sown in the winter air
bursting everywhere
spring is here filling my day
in my step a lovely way.

Spring unfolds its mat
bees and butterflies invited
to paint with colors
strokes of red, pink and purple
to embelish the green meadows.

flora and fauna" I learn something new. I can really imagine these creatures small among fresh spring flowers. Leaves described as goosebumps growing on naked branches is spectacular

Juicy treats arrive
of blue berries and cherries
on plains and valleys

picking them is so much fun
till rushing bears make you run
