living dangerously and following the tail

I was watching the Moscow Cat Circus
on youtube the other day and I thought
my cats would never have done
this. They live on a rogue planet where their
dogs steal the show with obsessive, mad tail-wagging
and slurpy, wild, wet kisses.

Yes, it's all about ownership and stepping out
of the box of perception, climbing the fakir's rope and walking across
the miles in someone else's shoes. This is where the sun meets the
sand and eagles circle the perennial-blue sky. This is where
humans remain silently amused. This is the
proof we have been waiting for. It all depends
on what we know for sure.

Humans will try anything for that live spotlight and our fifteen minutes
of fame in the
greatest show on earth. Lion tamers whip and elephants
are beaten with batons, but people do not have thick elephant
hides and only a gun makes a roar loud enough to fear. What doesn't bend to
the politics of will
can always be buried underneath.

(As we
have seen since the violet rays of enlightenment have touched the human
soul, arriving helpless in his human skin,
no one asks who teaches, who learns and what is learned or how it goes
with both the tongue and the pen.)

Cats will be cats and dogs will be dogs, it has always been this way. If only
human kindness would officiate in the greatest show we call
'Life on Earth'. If only we could train ourselves to sing and dance
an 'always' love song before history turns off the light after the last curtain call to ask:

Quo Vadis?

trees and abuse the sofa
Took me to an animalarian to remove my
jewels so now I am fat and dull
licking my whiskers
from the bowl of chopped liver
or tuna and dolphin

... the content here is cool, but it didn't feel much like poetry. Forgive me, please, but it seemed more like an insight blog especially after your recent very "poetic" posts. If Esker is a cat, I am a dog. wesley
