Mum... You and I

By: Rula

Together we witnessed time ebbs and tides:

we went through ups, we went through downs,

yet luckily we got each other's sides,

you and I, you and I.

Together, unwillingly, we grew old,

with devestating wrinkles, and white hair.

We both raised families, yet we're still bold

You and I, you and I.

Together we laughed, together we cried:

I uplifted your spirits, you got my tears wiped,

we stayed together, side by side,

You and, I you and I.

Together we lived for worse and better,

until Alzheimer's stole you, my bank of love,

although you promised to stay forever

You and I, you and I.

My Gold

By Mr joghe

In whom I spent my old days and nights,

Who rocked me in my cradle;

And fed my pretty mouth with a spoon,

Did weep while I should weep.

How much will I pay

For the pain you’ve taken for me?

Who worked that jumper to keep me warm;

Treated me with diffidence and respect,

Her healthy arms always be my stay,

And always admired my prudent face that filled with laughter.

How much will I pay

For the pains you’ve taken for me?

Who tired me with apology for being tiresome,

And asked twenty questions and never waited for an answer.

My timidity struck her at the first sight;

When she taught me to expect something extraordinary.

How much will I pay

For the pains you’ve taken for me?

I find such a pleasure

In obeying her commands,

That I take care to observe;

Shall soon come to bless me.

How much will I pay

For the pains you’ve taken for me?

I vow, I thought so;

Never, as among queens and princesses

In her age; to be explicit,

I’ve kept very little company

In pretty smooth dialogues with her.

How much will I pay

For the pains you’ve taken for me?

This is the stream - you can see all poems on Neopoet, live, as they are created.

The Sunset

sunset came now i see myself
sitting on the grasslands facing the river,
i passed through years and made it here
no challenges left - i miss my Mother.

i started my life with nothing but dust,
and have reached my dreams beyond heaven,
the world showered the gifts i now own
i looked back my life and saw... Happiness.

Quetch

`

Tendril wafted dunes
of barren sands waffle,
swirl across mile
upon mile in every direction-
your face appears a horizon away,
there is little comfort found
in accompanying echoes.

Drifting sticks
wail in the pitched wind,
stretched on distant recollection-
stylus of the scribe named Regret;
each flurrying breeze
turns a new page,
taking with it freshly shed tears.

Longish! No!

John Falcon Who?
Courtesy
Inspiration the most
Arrogant one!

It’s not the length
That matters,
It’s the strength
The guy as u says
Is a 13.5 incher?
Even in flaccid state,
His would be much bigger,
Than many in their erect posture,

So how will they feel?
As you say,
He is also gay
And
Many guys as well as women
Will run away

Elephants have four feet long
Just by the way
And
They guy sexes only once in a way.

Deleted Attitude

Ball breaker , heart taker
Urban slut, fuck that

Man eater, Micky taker,
Should know her place.
Hell no.

Foul mouth, hardened
Bitch, slag , bites back
Revenge, on the attack.

To all those who
Attempt to label
Her fuck that

Rising From The Aftermath

Rise up from shattering
muse of future once denied,
for in the promises of hopeful climes
only strength of will shall claim demise
of vanquished dreams that halt the stride
of life
across abyss of suffering.

Reach out with sweeping
hand erasing past that yawns so wide,
for in the grime of relished crime
only blessed rise of cleansing time
defeats the constant pouring tide
of hate
across barreness of blaming.

IDEAS' DEARTH

Sitting here with pen in hand
with hopes of writing something grand
that future readers might remember
in a future's drab December

I search for a substantial topic
universal, not myopic
something not already written
that might leave just one person smitten

Maybe I could write a poem that's funny
to turn a disposition sunny
but ideas for writing humor
seem to be just distant rumor

That Guy (Now what?!)

.
me?...no
I don't wear pajamas
kid shit
if I wore anything
(but I don't)
prob'bly be
sump'm like
Brando's
"Hey Stella... Stella"
tore up tank
and maybe
some boxers
but that just means
more laundry
so I doubt they would be
any fresher than
the rest of me
by the way,
no colors, white only
on those boxers
otherwise they start lookin'
too much like
pajamas
and I do not like
pajamas

That Guy

.
I walk to the store
I hate it
not the store
the walk
I hate it
why is it so close?
not that I want a longer walk
'cause I don't
but, a block and a half drive
would make me
"eccentric"
I hate that too!

I Am Fossil

I Am Fossil

What bits of memory do you leave behind?
Trapped within amber drops of sticky tears
When others glean from what clues they find
Will they think you bitter from wasted years?

This trunk that’s grown from sprig to stalwart tree
Shed generations of leaves and broken limbs
In yearly season cycle’s of natural decree
You reign, full of life ‘til summer dims

Creation of Shahenda

I am partly the moon
From the radiance of the sun

I am partly the earth
From the quenching of the rain

I am partly the sun
From the gravitation of the Galaxy

I am partly the water
From the winds of the atmosphere

I am partly the plant
From the photosynthesis of light

I am partly the daughter
From a father unknown

I am partly the sister
From siblings of others

I am partly the wife
From the desires of other

I am partly the maid
From the needs of gaggle
