Starlight

I hear your voice it rings with love,
warming my soul and mending my heart.
Keeping me comforted while my eyes look high,
embracing the midnight stars as they flicker and dart.
Flashing across that infinite sky,
linking us with love in the heavens, we are never apart.

Our Souls so closely linked that each star is a jewel.
Cemented in the fabric on the words we start
To make each day a memory anew,
Engraved with timeless love.

unread neopoets words still live

Your Kindness Neo’s

You are forever so kind
all hearts swell
when all are read
what will happen
when all is lost in the pages of NEO
out from the distant heaven …
all will see …
my Lords who still read

Many have forgotten the harp string …
when they could in hearts, a bell ring…
and
read what was composed with abandon ….
many poets still do it though
but seldom …..

let’s walk the walk of time…
as lonely strangers …
not like dogs
in lonely mangers….

Creative Construction (Cast in Stone?)

Gravel can turn into mounds of destruction
Stones can join to form halls of instruction
Pebbles can turn into sources of obstruction
Rocks can become monuments of distinction.

Mortar used for purposes malign or benign
Masonry used to block out or to refine
Cement is putty in the hands that realign
Based on what is in the architect's design.

In the Allport library of time

Under the soft knell
of ships bells

under the tick tick heart
of backroom clocks

you will find in there
the quietest of hells

where slow-slow reality
grinds to stop

`

here is the gallery
of those time-damned

ideas that flooded
and filled head piece

year upon year framed up
in guilt relief

grief upon grief
painted here then stuck

`

true, but solace and silence
and beauty too

You can hear the trolley wheels
squeak, overladen with books

Cherri

augusts call...the heat layered
humidity dripping down
the tank..porcelain glistening
licked with water
Window over looking the slanted
street...the baked cresote old poles
the street lamp that casts its glow
upward past nine
A river throwing light
full of life in the gentle winds
We walked across the briidge
towards the mill
hand in hand
when we were kids

In the Glimmer

At dusk in the glimmer of light, that shines through the East Texas pines
I stand still aware of a whisper from an opening that allows the dying light to enter.
Who are you, I ask, while a million
electric needles pierce my arms.

“I am the light that delivers last warm ray on the first day of summer, and sole proprietor of the sun, holder of humankind’s destiny.
Don’t you know that like this flickering fading light,
In a minute, life will be over and you will have
no memory of the darkness closing in.

Lady Macbeth:

Spousal reign long gone
Another grasp for the throne
Will lady begone?

Fulfillment

I Stood in fresh anticipation when
the early wind set out to flirt and tease;
she mussed my hair, fetched scent of dew, and then
my lungs were filled, kissed by a bracing breeze.
At last the blazing, crimson gleam appeared,
the underside of azure clouds were sprayed;
my heart aglow as now the dawning neared,
then amber shafts split faery haze and played.

Carefree Soul

Carefree

Embrace forgiveness
To emancipate the soul
Serenity rocks!

new home pop

When the tides come
and
wash our homes

when winds blow
and
we don't know

what gale will us swallow
where will we go
and
will we know
where the tides are high
and
when low

so we all make do
till the water threatens too

we move to a smaller cottage
up the hill and hope
the Lord will spare us
with smaller mercies
as tides cede
