Lost Love

By: Alex Tanner

Should I recall those blissful times
When we like climbing flowers entwined;
Our blossoms scented evenings air
As Love and Lust forsook our cares.

Your laugh was soft and gentle,
A butterflies wings in spring,
Dancing on the sunbeams
Enough to make me sing.

Eyes so bright they sparkled
Diamonds on moonlit snow;
Flashing hither and thither
To make my pulse race so.

We held each other gentle
Yet tight so not to break,
Though deep, our love could never last,
Different paths our lives would take.

For fleeting months we tarried,
Each time we met we knew
This may be the last time
For lovers hours are few.

If I love ten thousand women
Tis you I will recall;
You gave yourself so willing,
For your passion I did fall.

On black nights as the wind howls,
As I lie in a bed so cold,
Your soft voice echoes 'cross the years
To warm my lonely soul.

Unpardonablaise

Unpardonablaise
Your thoughts of unborn a spokesman /woman …on their behalf… is worthy of adoration...adulation… but imagine the explosion in population …but you are right… they ought to have used condom …ere the conception ….after having let the sperm seed and a child conceive…. to abort is short of treason …and murder we all try without any reason ….to punish the grown up…. but what about those ,who don't think like you ….and shelve the future of someone … who could have earned ,one day … someday..

revised version

Unpardonablaise (reviewd....)

We are

What we want to be
a follower
one to be followed
or
to enact the worlds' horror
and
sorrow

one to conceal
or else reveal
the summer’s cool breeze,
as it slaps across one's cheek

don’t be weak,
the world is vast
7.5 billion strong
what are you and I
but bubbles going along
ere we burst this moment
or
when God has his vibrator sent
and
tells, now is the hour
have your ethereal shower…

f a u w l t i smal porshunashun

jewel gem
cutter
draw tight
this slipshade
element
easement
rules runs like a tear
crawling
like a tear
of breaking
dark

the delicate
beams
unravelments
embattlements
sizzling
and through
the worlds
spills
freedom
rising up
tumbling
wayside
down

hauling
visions
and brilliant
sharp edge
poignant
rushes

a gasp
stolen
and a shove
into the
delve
of a harrowing
storm

Bereft

A decade and a year
started with
a random pet store visit
where a small black puppy
sitting quietly
looked askance
as her siblings yapped
and threw themselves at wire cage

She never ever ran away
just wandered off sometimes,
always coming back when called
back to the house
and outside
she could usually be found
lying quiet in the shade,
dreaming after panting rounds
of chasing frisbees
or panicked squirrels.

S u b s t i t u t i o n e t t e

drain ovid drinks
the hungry flurry
flung thicket wrung
in humid spears
lightning spun

moaning in depths
drowned demarcated
the flare of light
stalled out beneath
damp wet kisses

black velvet ossuary
blotting out the
eyes of stars
the grave of souls
shinning

into the void
like ribbons
of redeeming
whispers

every toss
a worry
every turn
a loss

upon oceans
the dark glide
of wind
seeks

Conniption……A fit of anger or panic

I came across a new word
so I thought of sharing it
no not out of ignorance
perhaps twas my share only
yet it’s a new word
we can all now see
anger
panic
corruption
all in one word
call it
Conniption
will ye…

Exam Malpractice

You cannot make a man ashamed
Without his conscience, a mate said
Moral rectitude imparts same
To know and do good from wrong
Echoes the voice of conscience within

Exam malpractice reigns in schools
Some know no way else than to bilk
Call it sorting, micro chipping
Played by both students and teachers
Values suffered setback at birth

Society sank in decadence
From the products of wrongful acts
Children who con their way all through
End up corrupt office holders
Wonder not on polluted system

Valkyrie...

Lightning flashed across my midnight sky
A Valkyrie with flowing hair
My heart was pounding, I blinked my eye
But no, she still was there

She took possession of my soul
I knew I was lost right then
What did she want, what was her goal?
It was beyond my mortal ken

I was to ride her windy horse
This puny human, a wreck of a man
I asked her why, she said, of course
“It is because you can”

So Long (Warning Sad)

My world spinning
The air is thinning
I gasp with no relief
Where peace has gone
I have not heard
Life's race is more then I can take

My cathedral crumbling
My god let me down
Religion has lost its touch
My life now bears a frown
My rosary said for no one
When pain comes and
Joy ends
Struggling just breathe in

Rivers edge ............ edit

Here at the waters edge.
Where forest limbs reach for me
There betwixt this greenery
And yon further bank
Within a quietened flow of life.

I hear my own hearts pulse
in sync with the rivers flow
hope you too are trying to see through
the pitch darkness
a light within me
that shines
my love only for ye

day in day out
be it summer
autumn or winter
through the snows of December
I still hear my faint heart’s
hope in murmur
you are somewhere there
waiting for me.
