Mum... You and I

By: Rula

Together we witnessed time ebbs and tides:

we went through ups, we went through downs,

yet luckily we got each other's sides,

you and I, you and I.

Together, unwillingly, we grew old,

with devestating wrinkles, and white hair.

We both raised families, yet we're still bold

You and I, you and I.

Together we laughed, together we cried:

I uplifted your spirits, you got my tears wiped,

we stayed together, side by side,

You and, I you and I.

Together we lived for worse and better,

until Alzheimer's stole you, my bank of love,

although you promised to stay forever

You and I, you and I.

My Gold

By Mr joghe

In whom I spent my old days and nights,

Who rocked me in my cradle;

And fed my pretty mouth with a spoon,

Did weep while I should weep.

How much will I pay

For the pain you’ve taken for me?

Who worked that jumper to keep me warm;

Treated me with diffidence and respect,

Her healthy arms always be my stay,

And always admired my prudent face that filled with laughter.

How much will I pay

For the pains you’ve taken for me?

Who tired me with apology for being tiresome,

And asked twenty questions and never waited for an answer.

My timidity struck her at the first sight;

When she taught me to expect something extraordinary.

How much will I pay

For the pains you’ve taken for me?

I find such a pleasure

In obeying her commands,

That I take care to observe;

Shall soon come to bless me.

How much will I pay

For the pains you’ve taken for me?

I vow, I thought so;

Never, as among queens and princesses

In her age; to be explicit,

I’ve kept very little company

In pretty smooth dialogues with her.

How much will I pay

For the pains you’ve taken for me?

Crystal Sky: Rare Twilight Sky Phenomenon

5 PM, November 17, 2078.
A celestial beautiful phenomenon
Many crystals appear in the sky
People call it Crystal Sky

The last time crystal sky was seen
And the last time we met
Unfortunetly i lost your number
Do you still remember me?

Do you still have my number?
If you do, why didn't you contact me?
I'm curious what you're doing now
Are you playing with your cat Tera now?

We're Almost There For It

"Where do dreams hide?"Once asked my child
"Behind the stars, I've always replied."
"The dreams hide, where stars reside."
" Once asked my child, where do dreams hide."

Where dreams reside, there shines a light,
With few brave steps , the way we'll find
Let's find the way where stars shine bright
There shines a light where dreams reside.

Love Me Painfully

I want you to love me painfully.
I want your throat raw after screaming you love me.
I want your heart bloody with all the love it pumps out.
I want your bones aching when I’m not there for you to hold.

I want you to love me painfully
Because that is how I will love you.
I will bandage you up
And kiss your scars
And love you gently.

Colours

Green is the colour
Of the deep dark sea
Blue is the feeling
Deep within me

Red is the colour
Of the red sky at night
Yellow is the colour
Of the sun so bright

Black is the colour
Of a cave, deep and dark
Brown is the colour
Of an old trees bark

Grey is the colour
Of the socks I have on
One day these colours
In my heart will belong

Ha! Ha! Ha!
They're laughing at me
So I'll keep on thinking
Of trying to be free

Hope

When you smile,
Mighty darkness
Has an urge to confess.

Your smile turns fears,
Into exiled prisoners
That are banished for years.

The sound of your laughter
Beckons sadness to dream
Of a tomorrow free of disaster.

Are you real? I daringly ask,
In a world where joy
Is sold as a jester’s mask.

In a world filled with gloom,
There is your soul that makes
Spring flowers bloom.

You show hate is no king,
Just another fool,
With a bite that doesn’t sting.

Blackberry Winter

It’s the end of April…
Spring awakens after it’s long winter rest
The sun glistens between the fresh leaves on the trees
The birds sing once more
And the days last longer

Blackberry Winter stops by for a visit
Reviving the barren bushes
As the berries begin to blossom,
I am reminded…
Just as the weather and plants change
With every new season,
I must do the same.

Hug

This could be us
Merged with the wine in the glass
Out there was a storm
Our house was torn
Water from ceiling was dripping
So as my will for life weeping
You came out of the dark
Leaving me without life spark
Senseless
Speechless
Numb
Craving for the last hug

Earth Day April 22nd 2024

I lament bidding Gaia's creatures adieu,
an inner conflict dust brew
within this scribe, who offers ye to chew
(like sweet treats metaphorically) thee do
tee incumbent, when Doomsday clock
counts down minutes few
according Al Gore rhythm
unstoppably ticking,
when life gets turned to global goo
tenderized viz Doctor Zeus
if not Horton Hears Hoo

Ready for Heaven!

You can take it or leave it
a heaven or hell.
You're living in them now
as you can surely tell.
Believe in demons,
the devil as well!
Believe that Jesus saves
and that Adam fell?
We all make mistakes,
Judas Iscariot as well!
Our myopic perspectives
have caught us under a spell.
for did not God himself say
that ye are gods,
and the children of the most high?
divinity in embryo,
what do you think, can you tell?
As long as your willing
to push through the swell.
