Starry Night
Starry night
many bright stars twinkling
shooting by in a glance
a black moon night
and all is well in my universe
celestial beings shining bright

Starry night
I think the poem is lovely, and would be even more as an accompaniment (or ekphrasis) with the famous painting by Van Gogh. If not, you have to change at least the title to avoid the obvious reference.

thanks
i never seen the painting or heard of Van
Gogh...but glad it's a great accompaniment.. what do you think would be good a an addition to the title....i wrote this last light immediately after watching the starry skies fill with stars that twinkled, flickered, moved and shoot across the Night sky as i imagine the black moon... i wrote it after 10 minutes of meditating and watching the stars outside my bedroom sliding door

Hi Barbara
check him out on line. You will have seen the works of Van Gogh in your life, he's the most famous painter since Da Vinci (Mona Lisa). You know, he's of the artist that went into crazy fits and cut off his ear...
And check out the painting. Look at your poem and the painting...tell me what you see!

starless night in Canada
behind clouds floating about the
moonlight bright
we imagined
seeing the POLE star
