Valentine Ages Away

Such beauty resounds
In the eyes of lovers,
Who know the value of love.
Time severs,
Bones ache,
The forehead frowns permanently
The receding hairline indicates,
The once dense forest
That did exist,
Then when both lovers see
Fading lips
Twitching eyes
And
Can't see you dear
My spectacles are smashed,
You can’t hear,
But how happy we both are
We can smile...

Another Thought of You

As duskiness merges,
Into the heavenly stars
Of the darkened night,
The wind slowly
Wipes away my tears
Ere they dry
The sunset still fresh in my eyes
Shows long glistening shadows,
Of your eyes
A face since forgotten hovers
Tis a nightmare
Without you,
As the darkness
The loneliness
The silence
Invades my already pygmy mind

Well, I'm home for the weekend, till tomorrow afternoon anyways. Things have been crazy since the end of October. One thing after another, it seems, has made life rather ...er... hectic, stressful and time consuming to the max.

Saying the word darkness
sounds dismal. It represents
a murky side of society. The
shade of darkness is a natural
color. Most everything does
and sometimes urns to darkness.

Movies that are horror films
have a lot of dimal scenes.
Vampires come out when
the sun goes down past the
horizon belt. We celebrate the
blackness
on Halloween. Ghosts and spirits
are most active. This is the one day of the
year darkness and black go hand and
hand.

I'm new here. I tried many sites: Poetry WORKSHOP sites as well as Poetry SOCIAL sites. All have their share of MUTUAL MASTURBATION as well as the "NO SUPERLATIVES ALLOWED" rule. Believe me, this site is WAAAAYYY better than those.

Could this be brought on by S.A.D.? Perhaps...

I need a new computer chair
or else not spend so much time there
my butt has destroyed all this ones pad
a result that only can be bad

Plus this old one has no arms
and it's sans both style and charms
it doesn't even glide or rock
I'll bet that comes as quite a shock

When I sit in it long enough
to arise is really tough
maybe I need one with a lift
what a thought for birthday gift

Oh Father
Father forgives them
for they know not what they do...
This is a universal message left behind
by the Lord
over 2000 years ago,
Have you all forgotten
Small minds are like bad fish,
Undoubtedly,
Remove them and save the water,
If not other fish.
I am no poet,
But I dare anyone say a word to me,
I’ll eat them up to the bone
And then they will chew
The cud alone,

Is poetry a mere form letter
just fill in the blanks
merely form and nothing better?
if it is, no thanks!

I'll leave perfection to professors
in their sterile lecture halls
let them be the art's possessors
if they have the balls

All poetry straight from the heart
has its own type of grace
it's time the perfectionists start
to wipe the smirks from their smug face
