Morning Pearls

morning pearls
By: now not off the track poet

the ecstasy expressed by rose buds
desires unfurling in the morning dew,
the lovers eyes
await for her silkiness true
and
caresses the sweetest lips
how I wish we all do
to express a pint of happiness
a burning desire
at the warmest mornings welcome.
I wasn't any poetic material,
but now dare to induce pearls of wisdom,
hope in a friendly way
you will continue to take
as you always did.

Bad Seed

Bad Seed
It's such a shame
Can't find it in herself,
Puts all that blame
on the likes of someone else.
She'd never think
To look inside
Not even blink
The girl knows how to hide...
She thinks she's so sensitive
All those times she cried
Alone in her room,
Whispered goodbyes
As her tears roll down
From "little lost martyr girl" eyes
Alternating ass-kicker attitude
Demanding tribute
with usual platitude
Don't expect any thanks,

SHATTERED HEART

SHATTERED HEART

A sudden gust
of Winter wind
icy cold
took my breath away.
and my heart began to shatter
with each lie
your caress told.

I felt the sting of your
loveless kiss.
its poison seized
my soul.
and I was forever lost
to this world.

Who Goes There?...

In trying not to think, he thought
There was blackness all around
He knew his soul was bought
Now it takes him to the ground

Killer sees a mindless frenzy
By innocence portrayed
The truth of what he's done
At his feet is laid

Sir Gee; his brother warned him
Please give up your fruitless goal
Here is the truth; for eternal youth
You give your immortal soul"

Blackest thoughts do seize him
Guilt trips him up again
Makes him yet again the monster
Emotion loosed from chain

Curse Of The Memory

Everything as if yesterday
Memories that will not go away
They rise up wanted, unwanted

Some are kind and welcome
Others full of sorrow
And touch the heart with pain

memories live within the soul
Some arrive on gossamer wings gently
Others as dragons fly, circling, circling

They weave in and out of the mind at will
Then return to their past for a while
Waiting to create our future

GOODBYE...

One star tonight, went dim
And caused my heart to faint
What wrong, I ask, what sin
Could take away that quaint
Loveliness that star possessed
And leave me with such bitterness?

One smile tonight, went stale
And caused me many a tear
What thoughts, I ask, could fail
One to sense the death that’s near
To take away the beauty in that smile
And leave me tasting bile?

AGE'S BALM

As time adds slowly to our past
lessening our strengths and stride
and flicker of the days come fast
there's only one place we can hide.

When cold winds blow and old bones ache
and weight of aging gets too great
one comfort we can all partake
is opening our memory's gate.

In my mind I travel back
to summer time in sixty nine,
hearing a basebal bat's sharp crack!
on an evening warm and fine.

Sixteen years

My darling boy
Everything for you
More precious in the offering
Blossom trees
A sunset
Birdsong or cloudscape for the lifting of eyes… of life
The ocean in any mood and motion
A new day or warm memory
Laughter, green eyes and corkscrew curls
All these good things
Multiplied, brighter, sweeter more complete
When shared with you
Whose being I have nurtured and cherished from a cell
In these years of bewilderment and passion
you are so commonly lit up like a bright beam
intense and animated

Untitled #3

Never let someone hold you down
Fuck you up
Tell you you're nothing
And that you're not good enough.

Never be under someone's thumb
Or fall face downwards
Because you were drawn in
By their lies and deceit.

Be strong
Look within yourself and know
That there are those who care about you
And nothing can touch you, unless you let it.
And no harm will come of you tonight
Not under my watch....

time is emotion
stitched within an illusion
named separation
