VOLUIM

the fracture
holds
crooked in its splice
the river knows
flowing where it goes
the needle holds its gorge
path
syllable momentum
coursing beats
like the hearts
round of applause
the tenderest of treats

Television licks the walls
the blue tongued light
on peripherys needy edge
huddled
the glints on shiny greed
like slit eyes hungry
pacing

Amped up
particular
peculiar
going fast
the music
landscape
soundtrack
reverberations
in the hollow
cool of an
A.M. haunting
shadowed
full of brilliance
daunting

the night whispers
the cold
cruel
stacks of steam
from chimneys
climb like
souls
seeking asylum
star chambers
emotion
stirring

trembling lids
on lashes
at ease
descending
to the well
of dreams

the lullaby
please

Excellent, regards Roscoe...

Roscoe Llane,

Religion will rip your faith off, and return
for the mask of disbelief that's left.

never quite in the flock...but I moved in..moved out...
like a storm...or the quiet rain..
wreaking peace of havoc
people know there is that power and energy in that
slow rain....painters painted it
Riders of the Storm
ccr's song..Who will stop the rain
the infamous rain dance at woodstock
and the jungle moments
that only a Seattle boy could understand
in war times in the temoral and moody climes
from the oceans temperments

I had smarter hipper wealthier friends
whom loved the skids..loved the common
denomination of people...in their own words
they were raw brutal ragged and rough
but they were real
they wore their skin
showed it proud of their scars
stories that no amount of fiction could produce
I read Stienbeck!
loved his TRAVELS WITH CHARLEY
read Gwendolyn McKeowans poetry a sixties
canadian icon...loved our ONTARIO FILM BOARD
movies and canadian film industry works....so out there
radical ideas and mythical funded concept films that
would bore most people...

and I met on the road and in life everyone
a broad statement but I lived broadly

I met Kathleen Brindsley a new york poet
had I known whom I was talking with chatting
with..but I didnt....and im glad I didnt...
know whom she was...
hung bout legends from world war two
korea and veitnam

was never sure if I could have survived
basic...but they walk u through it...they
want u to endure and survive...
they break u and rebuild u
might have done well
survival in me is pretty good

and enough...I dont give a fuck
to take the risk
the break free of the rules
and make progress in times
of inner and outer conflict
and values to want to clear
the trail for others...

but not everyones cup of tea
family folds..histories...
we all serve what we serve
I believe in God
with a capital G...

the writers I admired lived in the
ground zero madness of addictions
or deadlines..
their love..lust for their deities of
beauty....

i neither worshipped nor disregarded
when I was amongst the beautiful
or the ravaged and dangerous
I knew the balance
and I fed them all the sweet of
incredible random indulgence
before slipping back

only the greedy swim where
they know they should not
and cannot prolong the inevitable
outcome

intelligence is a drug
that power and energy drawing in
many....
expelling much
like village dogs barking in the night
to a foe that is more clever....

Glad U enjoyed this write!
Like Ur profile pic
I have a Shar pei
this new modern Sheppie is more
prone to intestinal issues and hip
displasia due to the inbreed for
look.....like anything genetically
crafted or machined for purpose
the sharp edge gives and takes
that sweet spot of wonderful
existance....like our lives....

thank U!!

Favorite lines! I watch T.V. a lot when I can't sleep.
It seems to assuage the yearning for contact
in a world where everyone seems to be so self-involved
and aloof.

Good feel for the emotion of being alone
in the land of plenty! Thanks, your friend ~ Gee
