Sepia Tinted/Key to Heavens

"SEPIA TINTED"
Margaret Ann Waddicor
5th March 2012.

Memorabilia
illusion
like that of religion
enhanced visions of a past
no longer tangible
we glance at pictures
reminders of our birth
and life now gone
enhance their worth with thought
drag back into the light
the positive
the negative into sight
it colours our presence
with its troubles, joys
but what we have is now
is here

"KEY TO HEAVENS"

There are many heavens
you hold the key to one of mine
do not lose it on your journey through the brine
you are my stone
I kick you ahead to plumb the way
the way to places we don't know of, far ahead
the way on which we burnish our sharp edges
straighten bends, enrich our lives
before it ends.

Style / type:
Free verse

Two little thoughts today. Ann.

Cat and Esker, you are eve faithful friends to me and I am glad to please you.

Many things can be reduced to a few words, but then they have to be the exact ones don't they?

but the reflection of the moon on water, lives." Kenzan.

I like both and like Cat, I can't point out a favorite line. Both are beautiful.
