More Eskerly beauty, and almost Jim Morrisonesque who got beat generation'd on the head.

Psy Tribute to the Doors..
a bunch of cover bands..
Its excellent...got it cranked
now on a morning as I write.
Got it on my phone..when
I do the mall crawl just
got this playing in my pocket
via the phone like the old
Transistor radios on the easy
patrols...(no patrol was easy)
my nod ode to the Vets! 60's
70's....Jim was brilliant and
creative...His dad thought the
music was just a phase....he
like all fathers wanted his son
to have a career but on a video
I watched bout him talking about
Jimbo he really proudly admitted
his son gave some great music
and art.. He talked about faking
his death like Rimbaud did..
who knows....the music Lives
thats the main thing and this old
cat loves it!!

Thank U Ms Sommer Lyn!

I have been absolutely obsessed with Morrison since I was about 8 years old, for years I was intent on following his every footstep. Only I must have rolled my ankle at some point and not made it back on to the path; because here I am, still lost, limping and alive. Whenever I feel that Morrisonesque tug in another's work, my brain swells. Well done. I like this very much.

Grade nine.little simple house on a hill
in a country village..Dad worked away
mom off with new hubby travelling...Enjoying
life...Dad was okay! summers I held down
the fort! whine whiskey and song!
the women came later...I did not understand
Hard rock at the time....because I was a
book worm....social antipathy..
Doors albums....Beatles albums..Rolling Stones
albums....Cat Stevens....Cheap Trick...Meatloafs
bat out of hell! Mettallica..AC/DC...Motorhead
Ozzy Ozbourne....grade nine I was into Blondie!
Pat Benatar...late nite art movies on the tube..
Stephen King Novels....W.O Mitchell...Farley
Mowat....the crime novels my parents loved...
CBC radio which was pretty Gestalt and some
kind of punk show CBC funded which brought
a lot of United Kingdom tunes in Late seventies!
I remember grade seven dancing with Lesley
Jessop to the mid seventies slow dance stuff..
Bay City Rollers and Kiss...Lame and Tame
compared to now! ha ha...

got busy with work..moved out late in life
with a hardcore pretty woman! who got me into
david bowie and bryan ferry....
mid eighties we were listening to Bunny and
the Echo men...I liked Jayne Siberri and Peter
Gabriel and Jethro Tull and Lenord Skynard!
get this...sprawling high school in boreal
landscape...glass windowed hallways...
huge huge....1700 students and at one
time almost eighteen hundred post baby boomer
sixties gen kids...Five years ago only five
hundred if were attending!!
eighties were astounding!!
but Jim....I was in high school and this
pixie cut brunette with a rats tail...
pleated pants...faux cowboy shoes..
white piratesque shirt top and black
long coat befriended me
crashed our intelligencia hub
..It was she who said Morrison...
U gotta check out morrison!
so I went back and started to play
all this record collection in summers
and.....found the key via Cathy the
magic of those guys...which in turn
led me to read all the books...
and when vids came..the documentaries
etc.....They played North Bay Ontario
during summerfest....They had Ian
something from another band be the
frontsman...But the entire DOORS
band was here! crowds make me
nervous....Loud noises set me off..
but I was happy just knowing they
were here!

My fave album was the one with the
circus performers on the cover
and of course Morrison Hotel pic
then I loved red heads...

GTA 5 got me into LA..and a chance
ownership of a SAN DIEGO got me
into learning more about LA
an art teacher tried getting us to
move there...But country bumpkins
afraid of our shadows we stayed
loyal to this area...Still..
Today I see what he meant!
I had the art talent and oddity to
cut into that scene...I did it when
I was at Art College..like Jim..
and I Lived much on the outskirts
enough to see what he would
have seen and I came from
not as influential family as he
did ...but...good enough!
the convertibles and top Coca Cola
salemen..blue chip employees..
self employeed others...

Last six years I studied Rimbaud
and his poetry..
and when I lived with Marie
a hardened woman from Regis
Park Toronto...she reminded me
of one of Rimabuads poems
she was a dealer...I rented a
room from her....clientele was
top creme of north bay and
hard working class...
she was a good cook..looked
after my laundry..
a beauty often came by
but I was too old and too
poor for her tastes but
there was the electrical
moments.....we lived
near the beach and
would haul out lawn
chairs down...cook on
the barbeque and have
a social scene gather
very sixtyish..
being a chronic alcoholic
with its nastiness I relate
to his struggle...
I could have gotten into
Heroin...and other...
and probably be dead
as all my ex addict dead
friends...

I am glad Cathy took the
time to instruct me on
Morrison...she went on
to chum with a navy man
a nuke sub captain
whom I know
his dad and my dad
went to the same
Masonic Lodge..
small small world...

it was unfortunate the
Entertainers got swallowed
up in the excess of wealth
and connections which
provided them with the
escape of torment they
felt inside...but the very
fires the Hellfire drove them
to create some of the most
memorable music..

and as U say! a brilliant
minded young talent..
Limping...BUT...alive
and I as a poet creative
old hipster who broke
a foot only two years
past know....Limping
is better then being
a flaming wreck
any day!

I had on the PSY TRIBUTE
to THE DOORS on my phone
today until the battery burned
out....

the fact that Jim was a poet too
and wanted to be one
and was one was pretty incredible
we are living his dream
here on Neopoet!

Thank U Ms Sommer Lyn!

Where are you I have been looking at the stream and you seem to have stopped writing?
It caught my eye about Jim Morrison as just recently I sold a poster on E bay of Jim, it was large and a sort of tribute to him and his life.
Someone in the states bought it, it was too big to put up here so I hope it is being looked at.
Hope you get back to writing soon, Take care of you young wolf, Yours as always Ian..

Give critique to help keep Neopoet great.
Unconditional love to you all.
"Learn to love yourself first"
Yours as always, Ian.T, Sparrow, and Yenti

We really are kindred spirits, Mr. Esker.

p.s - that album with the circus performers is Strange Days. A brilliant album, and one of my favourite Doors works.

and others...

the cover bands are great
Manzeraks organ playing is dark and richly delicious
GTA 5 showed me the landscapes..
kids game..yes and no...
programmers got paid thousands
and the Rockstar program is millions
I often crank surfrock or vietnam Bunker music
cause that time in history I grew up with
as a child on the news
my sisters adopted hippy ish looks
I liked the cover on that album
still do! they were so slick the Doors
Elektra picked up a lot of creative bands
during that period!
My dad bought us boys my sisters old
red mustang two..the smaller hatchback
with the european six cylinder..
it was heavy..not the hot rod of the earlier
Mustangs....and he bought it so we could
learn how to drive a standard...in the forties
when my dad was a teen he worked the
railroad and he bought a thirty two ford
convertible v-8..Bonny and Clyde car
and my adopted mom was pretty..dad
had his mop then of curly hair...snappy
dresser and they hit all the dances..
his car even had the two spare tires
on it and rumble seat!
we stayed with him during the divorce
and were spoiled rotten...
but we kept an eye on the house
his stuff in the shed and guns as
he was an avid hunter and fisherperson..
My parents bought me a battery powered
ghetto blaster..SlimLine Pioneer circa
1983..and the military leather flight
jacket..the pioneer could plug into
the cigarette lighter and it blasted
LOUD....I would drive to school
aviators on..cowboy boots in the fall
some kind of loud muffler...Thrush
was the make..wander in with my books
to my locker...often late..take a slug
of whiskey....down some tic tac mints
and go through the day! during
afternoons I would sit with the cassette
collection i the cafe..always busy..
sipping coffees and chatting with a lot
of young men and women who were
a bit more serious about school then
I was....But I was liked....avoided trouble
of course...DOORS would be playing
then!
reading books or hanging out in the
resource room at the library....
daring girls would come..
tantalizing teasers...
and I got girlfriends late in high school
but there was always pretty ones that
were interested..I was a snob though..
Imagine that!
but loved the music...our land had
great highways and picturesque back
roads...coffee shops and bars..
late night places..and I got along
with the girls parents and kin..

I still read books and help people out
when Im not over tired or gnarly which
I can be...I hustle when I hit work or am
helping Bunni look after her tastefully
decorated place...

when Princess was here I was always
doing her laundry and running errands
for treats...making her soup and kraft
dinner when her bestie came by..
she didnt want me talking too much to
her boyfriends.. with my chatter she
didnt want me stealing their attention
from her!! but when they were away
she and I hung out..Bunni was sleeping
early...I played xbox and we laughed
at fun things on the net via her phone
and I would do readings from her creeping
all the haters..cause she was beautiful
smart...and like me takes no shit!
why I liked Morrison....he was always
getting into shit...so I related well...
Princess loved the bad ass rappers...
we even know Yaz...canadian performer
who dated Princesses older half laotian
sister before she married a geophysist
Dr making oodles of money for an oil
firm in Spain!
Yaz sounds like Emminem....
whose music I slowly got into via Princess
so we could tech shoot both eras of time
I got up too speed again on the modern
lingo and whats up...and gave her short
cuts and how to not get baited into reacting
and trouble via the low keys...
who in turn made friends enough to her
later when she worked check out at the
big grocery chain!!
and she chummed with top males from
top families here in city..
now hopefully got a solid working handsome
miner up north!
time with the wild boys may be over...

even lately when Im out people chat
with me...Got this new fur hat on
and the old bomber jacket with huge
fake fur collar...I look really great
as a persona and look..something
I wanted for a long long time..
and I drive this pink girls bike for
the moment..pink and white....
well made....A woman was chatting
me up..said it looks like Hello Kitty!
strangely enough if one was a striker
for the Outfit..this would be something
they would ask..cept Im not a striker
oh no no...ha ha..

U are the kind of person I love talking
too...and there are few out there
compared to the regular day to day
people..nothing wrong with them
or us....but its nice to be creative
and just lay down tracks in the social
scenery!
I got a mittload of crazy people ..super
wealthy and super poor...but the mosaic
is brilliant and wonderful!

Thank U for your writing! super super
cool in my books! and eyes!
I dig it!

Mr Wolf
over and out!!
