The dark Creature (Re-post edit)

I was born of Darkness
my only purpose is
to bring the dark into your life

Evil has rained upon me
day and night
every malignant thought
that comes to me
is to bring the end
to your pathetic world

Speedily I went
leaving devastation in my wake
wave after wave of cruelty
I slammed upon your shores
where you thought
it was safe
eroding all the barriers
which you have put in place

I am the creature of the dark
the one that lies in wait
inside your very heart
for the opportunity
to destroy your very soul
with the fall of things
you thought would give you hope

Those who tried to bring
a fight
I have burned in the flames
of my inferno
not one memory is left
of those who dared
bring me light

So don't look into my eyes
for my darkness
will seep into your heart
and my decay will destroy
the very light that emanates
from deep inside your soul

I will dance upon your grave
barbecuing your very heart
while I feast on all of those
who just like you prayed on hope

Your dreams and hopes
of salvation
these to my minions I will feed
leaving desire as the last morsel
that one will be my desert
the tasty broken heart
you have left

You thought salvation
would come to save the day
you let your hope tie you down
to something you called faith
but you did not have an inkling
what it takes
to walk away from my embrace

Yes!
I am the creature of the dark
and my abode is in your heart

I liked these lines

I salute anyone who breaks the rules in the interest of art and great poetry writing just as much as I admire poets who craft meter and verse within the confines of good grammar. Walk the tight rope or jump from it and see if you can fly.

When I first came here, a few hers ago. I only wrote poems like this. Always with the dark creature weaving it's destruction. I not sure what changed in me. But my writing changed. Dan remembers, the darkness I came here with. Thanks for the read, that some comment you left there. I will try and re-introduce the old dark side Yo the new site
Again thanks for visiting

Glad to see more dark poetry on here, this actually reminds me of one mine titled "Bringing Darkness".I don't know enough about this style to give a proper critique, but I found a few words repetitive throughout and was wondering if that was intended due to this style?

"For what is it to die, But to stand in the sun and melt into the wind?"

Hey nice to see you on my page.
Yes it was intented, not for style so much, but to keep the heart and soul attack on the fore front. good catch by you. to me it means it worked.
thanks for coming by to read /comment
