Letting Go

Linger until,all life has gone
the road that lies ahead
be it narrow,be it long

In vain I seek to find the truth
remorse and pain the only proof
my eyes will tell the tale
of how,I lived

Of what has been my past
although I need no comforting
an empty lie,the form is cast

What has been done, still scalds and burns
who knows, which way the path will turn
lesson given,lesson learned

The end it calls ,I will not hear
let go , of what you once held dear
release the hold
then rid the fear

NOR'WESTER

Comes a winter shingle shaker
blow off the leaves, blow off the hats!
Bring a gust, an old limb breaker,
turn your breath to an ice maker,
send to rest the flitting bats.

Roar throughout the night and day,
build the whitecaps on the lakes
invite the winter here to stay
and usher autumn on its way.
Lift the tents up from their stakes.

Bring snow clouds in skies of blue,
put sleepy gophers in the ground,
freeze to frost the morning dew
bring the jack frost into view.
Send the last geese southward bound.

Vaginal Dawn

Power Outtage

verse-
head against the wall
i'm waiting for your call
but i know you can't right now

the safety net is stretching
every time i fall
and they've got me figured out

bridge-
yes i'm scared to death
but does it mean a thing?
yes i said i miss you
but that couldn't give you wings

chorus-
blackout
turn the lights out
i gotta get out
before i go crazy again
shout
scream it out loud
how this love will be stronger
than the rest

Mrs. Know It All

Emotions poured into the glass, as I rid the grasp life has
We all crave perfection instead we marry rejection
For a moment life seems like fairy tales and dreams

My fears found a voice and spoke to me, this can’t be
I want to poison the demon that won’t stop screaming
On this one way path to the unknown has my courage shown

I have been taught to trust in a world of lies and lust
I was taught to be honest even after every broken promise
When I cried they looked away, oh humanity is lost this day

Acclimate

I see her hidden
in plan sight
hands pressed
to her eyes
this image remains
among few

a day that won't wake up
I slide into a pocket
fortified against drafts

E X H U M A T I O N

carve away tenderly my soul
pull me from the flesh
born by my mother

gather up the curious
the beloved
and indifferent

let the Sheenyman sift
my treasures slender
and part out the ashs

and if you could
would you let my
fall on the river winding
for I was a traveller once
and a dreamer always

Good Dead Poets

Good poets only compose,
To read their creative work,
When they are on their deathbed, alone
When there is none to moan,

No sounds of music
No sensations,
Dead feelings
And
The distant drums beating are heard,
Just to keep one alive,
Then upon the soil of ego
Man does survive
Just to die
He has a feeling
Of still being alive

LIFE'S STAIRCASE

What sense does it make
that as the legs grow weaker
the steps grow steeper?

limping alone

wet sniffles thru smudged rose blush
she finds her face in her hands
blowing smoke from her refry stinks
up the city, stealing sobs and bitcheries
but they still don’t make any mace for stats
and for that
she doesn’t weep
but she cries,
                           cries,
                                       cries.
referring to older allusions
she holds steady to any yesters
so many “i told you so’s” driven home
make you pull like a mule, like a mule, like a mule
