Nothing To Lose ( Serious Limerick )

Nothing To Lose ( take 3 ) https://youtu.be/yHkHDxzwrLQ

Few are born with a silver spoon
less will fly to the far flung moon
some of the people
may climb that steeple
but most will remain out of tune.

With wealth that is sown up and stitched
and populous nations bewitched
there are many folk
who's lives are no joke
both chained up and poverty hitched.

All She Had to Say Was No

The wind gasped a final breath
like a devil reeling, fresh out of hell.
The grains of sand lay reticent
and fought with laziness
as they awaited new instructions.
Her eyes turned from green to yellow to red
as the weeds forgot how to tumble.
My skin began to char
as I waited at her stoplight
and the cannibals formed a buffet line;
each paying $6.95 for a piece of flesh
and three sides.
She gave one of them their money back
because they found a piece of my hair in their meal.

Calamity
you've grown in the sadness
lingering
Like a shade of yesterday
through the stair windows

Wander

star guttered
snow fallen
drenched
in its salted
drink
like old tears
spells and fears
shivering
your warmth
alive
in loops
of dreams
where the sun
blazes on your
shaded
forehead beneath
the bangs
your fingers
digging
like fangs
and the waves
in the green
shades
walking
in from the East

WARMTH

It's cold, turn up the thermostat
then listen to the furnace blow.
It hasn't always been like that
and not so very long ago....

The wood pile needs to be replenished
on this January day
so right after breaking fast is finished
we're bundled up and on the way.

My brother and dad for company
we load the saw in the old truck
whose engine cranks reluctantly
as if in fear of getting stuck.

Moonlight memories

Tok-odio-dioooo! Summoned the troupe
Responses came like echoes
Playgrounds witnessed get-togethers
In praise of the Great Architect
For the gift of moon and her light

Stories of tortoise in exploits
Brave lion caught in his greed
Smart wise saying had their leads
Lessons of the ages embedded in them
Convention of healthy culture preserved

Word Hole

"moonlight on the snow slips in sideways
dreamlike
a dollhouse in a boxcar rolling south,
wandering too long, the cold saddens"

I am talking to myself, but the cats are sane

I huddle under 60 watts of halo
like a cop interrogation of the 50's
and the world as we know it
disappears into
the cropped
dark
edge

word games begin
re-assembling lies

deep I slide (so the scenario goes)
cursing my way downward
spitting torches from a gin soaked cigar

Rolling Stone

Suck me in your vortex
gorge me in those rapids
plunge me to the depths
grind me on the rolling stones
soak me in the orgasmic eruptions
to feel
what torments you
or is it
your coming of age
a celebration of teeming emotions
seeking release in a coitus
then meandering in the aftermath
with gentle waves wetting your loins
let me then tremble
with each ripple in your womb
to sense
your freedom from pubescence
and joy of riverhood
greening the pastures
let me be

Ahab 2014

Ahab 2014

Mental archipelagoes protect my disbelief
pristine island fortresses of mind
surrounded by odd currents where dark creatures prowl a reef
that is the one and only of its kind

blasphemous iniquities have driven me insane
and fabricated lies I can’t control
delivered by euphoric mutants as a mad refrain
that echos through the canyons of my soul

upswing

on noticing I had regressed
I obliged by becoming depressed
my toe stubbed a rock
my head took a knock
and the need for a smile was addressed

Because You Are Human (The Right Word WS)

Man!
I see you
in the beauty of
the super moon,
in summer's boons,
and in the evergreens.

I see you
in the strength
of the water falls,
in thunder's sound,
and in the storms.

I see you
in the softness
of the snow flakes,
in May's buds,
and in autumn's tumbling leaves.

I see you
differently
in different moons,

because
you are human!!
