Words. A. Maze...

Words. A. Maze…

Words are amazing they can bring
a sentence together, turn a drab rainy
day into the brightest of weather.

Make a horse jump, a rushing river
roar, they’re the beginning of a novel,
easily giving order to a musical score.

Taking your mind to dance on clouds
of richest rains, calming all anxiety
relinquishing the most hurtful pains.

Revealing to us the true depth of colour,
when all we see is grey, explaining the
unexplainable as our hero’s turn to clay.

Once I ran the tightrope of innocence above
a Paris revolution, protagonists threw rotten
fruit as I searched in vain for their solution.

Still I walk that high wire not knowing how
I might fall, on one side a landing cushioned
with indifference to the poorest when they call.

But I totter on above my responsibility to life’s
unexplainable die cast, trying to draw admiration
and acceptance as I try to forget what was my past.

But I’d rather follow these words into battle
with giants or great beast, happy to be bloodied
as the heroine once tethered is then released.

So take the chair you sit on a fabulous flight
to new planet or star, gathering the knowledge
of acceptance, that makes you and I as we are…

That you have taken us on a journey, and showed us new things to see.
I know that we in poetry can be or do anything and experience all things but only to the level of our own thoughts. Grand piece of writing there,

There are a million reasons to believe in yourself,
So find more reasons to believe in others..

Thank you Ian for your warm words, Regards Roscoe...

Roscoe Llane,

yes, words are very powerful weapons...
great write, favourite stanza
'Revealing to us the true depth of colour,
when all we see is grey, explaining the
unexplainable as our hero’s turn to clay'

great word usage to incite mind pictures, as in for example, 'I totter on above my responsibility '
really nothing to crit...

I'm in love with words and my most beloved and used book is my combination Dictionary/Thesaurus. By the way, great piece of thinking put into words!

i expect many a battle has been won or lost as the result of the power inherent in words.................but you said it much better.........stan

Thank you Stan, if only we used words as our only weapons. Instead of the frightning mixture of bombs and missiles we have now. Regards Roscoe..

that words do amaze,is no secret

as many above
have unveiled the maze,
still you do amaze,
how words can be intertwined
to form a maze
a haze!
heroine does
to many words
do to all..
they
surprise, astonish,
astound,
dumbfound...

loved

Thank you friend, Regards Roscoe...
