The Enemy Within

Beware!

When envy leaks from your heart,
the soul will be poisoned.
The conflict will spread to the mind,
turning your words into venom.

Peace will hang by a thread,
time will taunt you into action.
When the truth is replaced
by mere speculations
and all that you have
are unproven assumptions,
do not lay down your guard.
For there within the shadows,
the enemy returns.

I Dream Of Winter

I dream of winter,
not the one in cruel hearts
but one born with beauty
and the sea of white snow,
painted over the landscape
where I could lay
down and cast
in a snow angel's shape,
fulfilling my childish yearning.
I dream of snowball fights
with young children
laughing, playing
or pretending to rescue
a damsel from the Ice Queen

Convection

Heat rising in her cheeks
beneath dewy tears.
The shattered innocence of
a murdered dove.
A child playing the role of an adult.
The young feast upon the mother.
Too soon to start.
Too late to stop.
The cloth is cleansed
yet the stain remains.

Systematic Destruction...

Dull aches of the Lion-Heart
Fantasies smashed and left like wreckage
on the 'Yellow Brick Road'

The Wizard has left the scene

Shocked monkeys lie twitching
as he looks to the sky for the twister
that destroyed his beliefs

“We're not in Kansas anymore”

Tin-men don't cry, they just rust away
waiting for rescue.
The oil-can is empty

and gas is cheap.

Night settles around the breeding-grounds
The Velvet Fog of your voice
turns to sirens of despair

Unanswered Questions..

MH17 shot down
Shredded corpses lay scattered
all across the ground
where the plane lies, torn asunder

Who is the author of this tragedy?
Which scum gave the order for murder?
Don't we have enough deaths already?
Why must the innocents always suffer?

I'M ASKING
Why can't we live in peace,
have the best in this life
before we leave?

TELL ME
How can we tell the children
that their parents will never return
and their future has darkened?

Born and Reborn

Crystalline screams
echoing out of openings
of the orifices of my skin
seeping out syrupy lies
and malignant paradoxes
frozen in the waves
of tranquil idiosyncrasies
trapped in a cage
of flesh and feverish
brain cells by degrees
developing from
waste to procreations
in the deep facets
filling spaces with
fetal thoughts and infancy
becoming ever-increasingly
born and reborn

Tragedy

Once again, humanity is discarded.
Gaza bleeds innocence.
but the sanctity of life desecrated
is unsurprising.

Therein lies the tragedy,
a spiral of destruction upon destruction,
sparked by endless enmity,
preying on those sacrificed without reason
This is not God's decree!

It's schism of sanity
in men of power
and all their arrogance.
The devils wearing
human faces.

Mindfull...

Sinuous as any snake
the tendrils of temptation

Sweet frosting on the cake

Having more than you can eat
and saving some for later

Something you can't beat

Fermentation of dreams come true
Wishes almost fulfilled

but not for every man's view

Oh, what wonders I can dream
here in my solitude... my space

The milk above the cream

Safe in the mind, no one can hear
the screams of suffocation

No sound will reach your ear

Complacent in your reverie
you look here

About Fasting

A friend asked me about fasting,

thus this conversation is born.

"Why leave your belly empty

when there's enough food

for you and me?

" A month of fasting

is nothing compared

to the years of starving,

felt by one caged

in poverty."

"Where lies the need

to feel other's sufferings?

Surely that's madness indeed."

"It is not insane

to embrace compassion,

with nothing lost, much to gain.

The Old Forest Tree

The old forest tree is sad.
Her crown of branches raises high,
barren of green leaves.

Her thick, buttress roots
spread across the weeping ground,
where its breath, halted.

The forest is ruined,
for the sake of Man's dream called
Civilization.

They know not the truth?!
The trees are Natures' temples
where beasts seek shelter.

Their roots brace the earth,
joining a sea of grasses,
offering their strength.
