Dragon Lady...

A dragon of grand iridescence
Soars high in the blue of our world
Her broad wings are silver and gold
She has eyes of green and blue swirls

Soaring above all the countries
She lands on some, they do say
Her treasure is all of the friendships
She's won on these many bright days

Not for her are the recesses deep
Of dank and musty old cave
Her treasure of love, all she has
Her heart was in what she gave

Entities of Time (Metaphor WS #3)

In the vast fabric of space
where the stars are diamonds of the universe,
life and death are represented in a greater scale
within the great devourer and a new planet's birth.

One, very dark and foreboding,
so powerful with its mighty pull
that all that comes within its reach
will be reduced to a minuscule.

The other is the beginning
of a new life's chapter,
woven by the hands of fate,
with the will of the Creator

Trapped In Space (For Metaphor Workshop)

How did I get here,
floating like a balloon?

Gasping,
I reached out
but there was nothing
I stared
at the vast realm
of space,
surrounded by
clustered stars
planets and galaxies,
near and far.

Each of them making me feel
like a tiny speck of dust
as I wandered aimlessly.
There is no up or down,
not a single sound.
I called out for help
but there is no reply
so I cried like a child,
gripped by panic and fear.

Ode To The Queen of All Evil...

The Queen Of All Evil
Sitting next to a Chevelle
Sneered and said
You think you're bad
But I'm straight from Hell

My Bobby takes good care of me
And I always get the best
I'm black trim and red hot paint
Not like all the rest

Thirteen skulls on my hood
Amidst the flames on black
I have my temper-tantrums
I'm the cross on Bobby's back

My middle name is Done Twice
Sometimes it is Done Three
No matter, what I'm looking good
And it don't come for free

The Tree (September Contest)

A September day
So bright yet so damp
Disturbing the rhythm
Set by summers lamp
The colors of autumn
Were spread all around
A chill in the air
And leaves on the ground

A curbside bench
Facing a garden
Looking as inviting
As a plush ottoman
Unwanted weeds
And a thicket or two
A barren tree stood
Amidst these outgrew

Infantile

Perceptual infantality
Mentality of added
Arrogance prideful in
Ignorance
Thinking more but
Knowing less
Doing more with
Soul suppressed
Getting farther in
Your skin
Seeking deeper
From within

Angel

I walked ahead on this path of life
and watched the time leaving me.
The memories of days of strife
are fresh and clear as they can be.

So many friends I've lost to time,
so many aches I felt inside
and like a poem refused to rhyme
the worst of scars I never hide.

Just when I thought its the end,
the heavens reveal its surprise
That's when I met you, my friend
You were my angel in disguise.

reluctant goodbyes

I've known a joy
I had no right to expect
touched miracles
in their first creation,
and life love and belief
grow ever greener still
as we say goodbye

I had thought
a day free of regret
would dawn on Azimuth,
I had dreamed
that I had known fully
what this life held,
yet here in this frigid
torrid maelstrom
I've met only fear
of everything

defrosting the glass

Powerless
numbness grips thoughts
crimsom heartbeats
are stilled in time
manly disbelief
Is corrupted

frozen
a narrow reed
of paper motions flutters
liquid in a summer breeze
freedom from fear
was within the acts
of letting go

Pain was an illusion
lost in a geniuses mind
held between a feather
and the deep blue sea,
a brittle scream
was a rally to arms
a blasted battle cry
of the broken soul battalion

Hypocrisy Around Us

A girl claiming to support animal rights,
wearing furred clothes on display.
Her sense of fashion came to light,
there's nothing left to say!

Cigarrette boxes bearing messages of diseases,
the company bearing a conscience today?
Too bad the addiction in those smokers
won't be easily cured anyway.

We yearn for peace and fine morality
but choose sex and violence for a movie.
Its just a break from boring reality.
Who cares if our children embrace insanity?
