Mum... You and I

By: Rula

Together we witnessed time ebbs and tides:

we went through ups, we went through downs,

yet luckily we got each other's sides,

you and I, you and I.

Together, unwillingly, we grew old,

with devestating wrinkles, and white hair.

We both raised families, yet we're still bold

You and I, you and I.

Together we laughed, together we cried:

I uplifted your spirits, you got my tears wiped,

we stayed together, side by side,

You and, I you and I.

Together we lived for worse and better,

until Alzheimer's stole you, my bank of love,

although you promised to stay forever

You and I, you and I.

My Gold

By Mr joghe

In whom I spent my old days and nights,

Who rocked me in my cradle;

And fed my pretty mouth with a spoon,

Did weep while I should weep.

How much will I pay

For the pain you’ve taken for me?

Who worked that jumper to keep me warm;

Treated me with diffidence and respect,

Her healthy arms always be my stay,

And always admired my prudent face that filled with laughter.

How much will I pay

For the pains you’ve taken for me?

Who tired me with apology for being tiresome,

And asked twenty questions and never waited for an answer.

My timidity struck her at the first sight;

When she taught me to expect something extraordinary.

How much will I pay

For the pains you’ve taken for me?

I find such a pleasure

In obeying her commands,

That I take care to observe;

Shall soon come to bless me.

How much will I pay

For the pains you’ve taken for me?

I vow, I thought so;

Never, as among queens and princesses

In her age; to be explicit,

I’ve kept very little company

In pretty smooth dialogues with her.

How much will I pay

For the pains you’ve taken for me?

(eddy styx:) Dark Moon

Dark Moon

being not fond of moonlight
When I ply my trade
I tend toward the filmy
veil of shadows and
the dark moon mysteries
my excellent night vision
keeps me on target
bringing me to your
irresistible circular stair
where I the candle snuffer
will extinguish your fragile flame
and shed a heartfelt tear
as I witness the fading embers
and the one pure moment
of created dying art

darkest night

inside each melody --
fragrant spark
playing round us

incandesces everything
at once

on light beams, songs
for their own pleasure play

desideratum's designedly
desiring desist of
insanity's mare of night

melodies play on
nonetheless, so there will
be light in darkest night.

WHO AM I NOW?

"WHO AM I NOW?"
Margaret Ann Waddicor, 16th November 2010.

A moment look on high
be swallowed by the sky (I did just that and was swallowed)
self esteem find the cream/queen
deep in the mind
unless you are a sychophant
a damned great social elephant.

Prejudices ridden
illusions gone
religion's confusions cleared away
all fear of others judging
what and why you tick
whether you conform to norms
ethical.

Free

Uncoil, with gradual breaths
Open your eyes ,refocus,
 twenty twenty vision..

Free
span the breadth
and width , expand.

Laugh, cry, scream
Let it all out.
Expose yourself to reality.

Free.
span the breadth
and  width,
expand.

London Is Calling!

London Is Calling!

Hello all aboard
This is Londoner poet calling
Attention all Londoners
Shirley Harrison is
about to be landing

Unfurl your masks
And
besides her stand
Give a bouquet
or a garland in her hand
All Londoners now stand
Give a standing ovation
To dear Shirley

Who is this Neopoet?
Well known too!
Arrives now early
Welcomes
London to thee
Dear Shirley
Can in the din
You hear Me.?

Thieves Of Fate

.
harbingers, soothsayers, seers, witches
begone, scat, remove theselves
from my world's events

liars, the lot
tenders of calamity and confusion
the only fate can be known for sure
is my wrath for trifling in my presense

take thy clownish selves to partake
in a carnival of pleasures and games
jokesters and jesters by your sides
and a gaggle of ogling patrons to witness
this silly and sad melodrama you produce

mine own eyes and mind will deliver
the calculus, and decision

Just another name

Heaven:
just another name for home,
not a destination.
Where we all belong
and from where we came
to spread ever outwards
and manifest paradise.

Earth:
just another name for home,
not a travel vehicle.
Where we all belong
and to where we came
to bring unconditional love
and manifest paradise.

Hell:
just another name for home,
not a threat.
Where we all belong
and where we find ourselves
if we forget how to love
and manifest paradise.

THE RETURN

Let festivities begin
for return of absent friend
who had gone to fight the fight
and battle with all her might

The void now filled, the home complete
let's applaud and stamp our feet
for those who wish, toss back a beer
let mirth and laughter now appear

So welcome back into the fold
share our warmth and shun the cold
( in time, perhaps, forget the pain )
and know we're glad that you're back here Jane

Just a little thing to welcome you back........scribbler

Triumph

In the microcosm
Of my mind
A plethora of emotions
Race through

As the pendulum swings
My heart becomes
The sand in
An hour glass
That quickly empties

In the pits of my soul
Sorrow screams
As faith listens
Attentively

Sending her legions
To fight the demons
That stirs my insides

Perplexed by
Shivering Weakness
That overpowers
Me

APPLEWEED

PART I: GARDEN IN THE SKY

Exploding supernova in a Western sky:

Mystic dark portent, or the evil eye?

Seems every hour another star in our galaxy dies:

Tell me, where did all the Appleweed take root

In our garden in the sky?

Like faceless marionettes in some grotesque display,

Contorted caricatures from some frightening play;

Sometimes, it seems that all our dreams of Passion’s endless spark

Are lost in green, or torn in twain, we take

Small solace in the dark...
