Sensory Desperation

Taste like a smell,
Sight like a sound,
Feeling touch
So viscerally.

Sand in the sky,
Fire in my eye,
Tractor beam
Illusionary.

Pull from within,
Honestly sin,
Careless dream-
Harsh reality.

A whisper so loud,
Out in a crowd,
Singular
Ceremony.

Come baby,
Come and find me.
My darkest hour
So blinding.
Reach out
Through trouble
Daunting,
Sensation desperation,
Hold me, as if
We may never ever
Meet again.

Very visceral.

Grabbed my attention from the opening lines:

    Taste like a smell,

    Sight like a sound...

There is a sense of desperation... a blinding light of longing that I sense as i read this.

Beautifully crafted!

this is very creative, and expressive of someone who's feelings have hit saturation! I hear ya!

of a program I saw on 'Synesthesia',
where a person has a condition that causes him to
taste colors. There are other variations where people
taste sounds, etc. I can see that people might feel like their senses
are confused when they have strong emotions. I see that this person has
a kalideioscope of feelings about a relationship, and desperately wants
to explore it, before it passes by in the swirl of things.
I don't know that my interpretation of what you wrote is the right one
but that is how I see it. Anyhow, nicely done! ~ Geezer.

This must be the place, 'cause there ain't no place like this place anywhere near this place.

Grabbed my attention right away! There is something haunting, yet alluring about this piece. Sensory perception plays such a huge role in our day to day life and that need for sensation, for touch and connection in all aspects can be so raw. You displayed all of this in a well composed poem. Well done!

This reminds me a lot of something that Jon Anderson would write. I like it alot and the more I read it the more
like it!

The power of our language can and will change the world.
Successively until our languages become one!

A wonderful poetry wrought with artistic delivery. Great job dear poet.
