Neopoet Challenge: New Years Resolution

12 to 32 lines

I have vowed to make no more Resolutions,
for this or any other, wintry new year.
too many years end with embarrassed regret
all good intentions go by the wayside here.

Instead, I relax my outstanding will power
awakening anew in my energy restoring bower,
having reflected on my future in my good time
opening my sleepy eyes to find sunshine's shower.

I shall consult my heart, as well as my head
knowing I will find good consul within and about me.
I will breathe clean air and taste the fruit of the land,
Finding Mother in a pristine guise and allowing her to be!

Review Request (Intensity):
I want the raw truth, feel free to knock me on my back
Review Request (Direction):
What did you think of my title?
How was my language use?
What did you think of the rhythm or pattern or pacing?
How does this theme appeal to you?

is still yet far away
I hear it calling
through the words you say.

This might be me as I open my windows for the first time in Spring
My New Year's resolutions hanging out with the curtains and breathing anew.

This theme is great, and your language and rhyme likewise.
Thanks for this early day.

This must be the place, 'cause there ain't no place like this place anywhere near this place.

I only wish I could conjure up the real thing, *sigh...

make a resolution this year either. All I can do is hope for a much better year with positive changes...and of course wait for spring to arrive!

~RoseBlack~

this year, resolutions just seemed so pointless, didn't they?

I am so very sorry! you are both fine poets and I love you both so much! I can only attribute this mistake to I've been trying to get caught up in my reading and commenting...please forgive?
