Flowers of snow,
they blow about the sky like birds in flight,
a sight that sends the senses in a spin,
for deep within our hearts we love this dance,
this ballet-dance of nature,
as all is frozen, stilled;
and movement only comes
when winter wishes are fulfilled.

We wish, and wish, and wish again,
for lightness in the dark,
for moments by the burning grate,
warm sparks of orange bright,
the contrasts of the darkest nights,
with stars of ice, that tinkle tinkle bells
on forest trees, of rainbow colours, fired.

For presents below a fir, the reds and blues
with ribbons silver, gold,
as Christmas comes and goes,,
the hellebore, its virgin bloom is plucked
from frozen earth, and brought right in
to Lord the full decked table,
celebrate Messiah's birth.

There are many people that would want to look with those eyes of yours.
To see a beauty when open or closed, can we wish for more.
As usual a lovely scene that is painted for us by your pen.
Have a lovely new year and know that we can walk with you, eyes closed or open,
Yours Ian.T

There are a million reasons to believe in yourself,
So find more reasons to believe in others..

Beautifully written, I wouldn't change a thing. It is either the Hellebore plucked being brought in to decorate the table or the guests are about to get a very unpleasant surprise. I don't even want to know; the delicious sickness of the possibilities is exquisite.

Thanks Anna,

"What I want is to be what I was before the knife,
before the brooch pin, before the salve, fixed me in this parenthesis:
Horses fluent in the wind. A place, a time gone out of mind."

The Eye Mote-Sylvia Plath

Beau I see what you suggest but for me the rhythm
of the poem likes the repeat of dance, and as I love
to dance, both in my mind and in fact, I leave it and
hope that you too dance into the new year happy,
if that's what you want, some of these people today
like the darker side of life!!!

And may all you who have commented also dance
with me into the next yea. Not had the net all Christmas,
and its weak now, so!!!!! Love and takk from Ann.

but the reflection of the moon on water, lives." Kenzan.
