NIGHTMARES

In a sea of torment
what hides behind
screams back at
you from the other
side .

that hellish glare
can hardly bare
rigid body, night
mare stare.

From the hidden
depths of your immortal
soul thoughts collide
and swirl an unthinkable
hell where darkness dwells
in your mind
Where fear hides .

I see you are most comfortable with this theme of 'evil'...you appear to be at ease in writing about this topic. This one is full of dark images and shadows. What I like about this one is the evil, is not out there, it is inside! Perfect! Great opening: In a sea of torment what hides behind screams back at you from the other side grabs the reader hook, line and sinker. Should Night Mares, be one word? hi there ya my scary poems lol , its time for a happy one i think something about trees and rabbits ,lol my last bad dream i cant remember but i woke my self up with a shout had no idea why ,,but i usually can stop a dream if i want and i always dream in colour i heard some folk say they dream in black and white that sounds like a bit of a tale to me ,,,,,,,cheers for the comments hun ,,,,,,,,,yours ziggy

I'm so glad that you cleaned the cobwebs off of this piece to share with us :) HS is right the first stanza is a grabber! It pulled me right in. Nighmares

Ziggy Nighmares I have a few. I see you and HS seem to share a best friend in JD. I do not indulge myself but I often buy JD for friends at their request from Duty free on return from my trips I hope that I do not instigate their nightmares Ha! I find comfort in the dark side my good friend as in the light there is only hurt. I just curl up and stay in. The sea of torment hides behind the screams back at you from the other side I know this place oh so well great write my freind Blue Maybe you can take a look at Dark messinger and Nowhere land Land of the lost in the dark.
