REVENGE

Caught up between
the vague and the loud
honesty veiled under a
burdening shroud .

Pride fractured by
dismembered events
hell bent on crossing
any divide without
pausing to armour my
mortal flesh .

No time to explain
in case the seeds of
doubt may spit with
rain revengeful pain
tears of anger from my
vein ,the very sight of
you may split an atom
in my brain .

Without the want of gain
i remain resolute .

Hey Ziggy

Good title, great language usage, mysterious theme. You do know how to draw the reader in. Might this poem have something to do with a treachery perpetrated on you by someone close to you? My favorite lines are: Pride fractured by dismembered events hell bent on crossing any divide without pausing to (armor) my mortal flesh Always, Cat

can I call you Zigs, Zigs?

I love this poem, another one I love, with its melody and its unique rhyme form. the last stanza especially, it's my favorite, from rain to pain, from vein to brain, then the transition to the last two lines, gain to remain. I have never been able to add so many words that all rhyme each other into such a small amount of lines but you make it work splendidly! seriously awesome! you have brought them all "under one hat" as we say in german. I love it and wouldn't change a thing! your Proprietress

Ziggy

Ziggy, you already know my thoughts on this one. I must say you have a great 'Editor'!! LOL! Seriously, this is without doubt your best work to date. I connect and feel each line. It draws the reader in with your powerful imagery and hard-baked words. Bitter all the way through...superb! 5 stars without a doubt. I said it would be 'spotlight'...it is almost there. You'll owe me a bottle of JD if you do get your rightful 'spotlight' moment. Revenge

Ziggy Great writing my friend. The pen is the best way. It is always my best council my only friend. Me of all should be revengful about my life as so much has happened to me by others. The hurt the constant pain. But all I can do is love. I am not revengefull but should be. I do see the other side too but why I let it be I do not know - it come downs to love for me. Blinded I may well be as others tell me but no I go in with eyes wide open and just love. As I see the hurt and the struggle in the other person trying to come to terms it will be a long hard journey but I will stand by them no matter what. For you to put in down on paper is so good even if you do not put all down in words others can read from them the hurt the pain you still hold but you are letting it go slowly this can only be good the healing has started. Even if you do not think so. letting go of hurt just so hard to do Oh do I know Stay strong my friend Blue
