9/11 Silent Tears
Silent tears fall in remembrance.
Sad today,
so many spirits taken,
in this awakening.
Disbelief still today,
this will not go away.
Time has flown,
We are, on our own.
Survivors left
feel guilty.
Why not me?
These haunting images.
Screams fade away.
Will always remain.
Faces of those
Lost in the clouds.
Silently, stand alone.
Others rush past,
in panic.
Disasters chases them.
Engulfs them.
The rescuers
become the ones to be
rescued.
But no one comes!
Lost souls,
ad mist the confusion.
Hero’s arise,
out of the dust
All faces the same.
Just staring into space.
No one home!
All that was,
is now gone.
Ad mist the chaos
Silence comes.
An unearthly peace,
found by the few.
We look.
We see.
We do not comprehend
what lies before us.
Peace be with us, all.
