9/11 Silent Tears

Silent tears fall in remembrance.

Sad today,
so many spirits taken,
in this awakening.

Disbelief still today,
this will not go away.
Time has flown,
We are, on our own.

Survivors left
feel guilty.
Why not me?

These haunting images.
Screams fade away.
Will always remain.

Faces of those
Lost in the clouds.
Silently, stand alone.

Others rush past,
in panic.
Disasters chases them.
Engulfs them.

The rescuers
become the ones to be
rescued.
But no one comes!

Lost souls,
ad mist the confusion.
Hero’s arise,
out of the dust

All faces the same.
Just staring into space.
No one home!

All that was,
is now gone.

Ad mist the chaos
Silence comes.
An unearthly peace,
found by the few.

We look.
We see.
We do not comprehend
what lies before us.

Peace be with us, all.

9/11 Silent Tears

So quickly people forget the reasons why one human being can do this to another human being. It is beyond belief as long as one person remembers not one of those many precious souls will be lost to roam in the darkness. They will turn into sun beams which in turn transform into millions of stars they will always shine on to remind us of who they were and still are maggie

Maggie, thank you

What happened wasagainst all the convictions of civilized people. The ones who would deliberately target innocent people are less than animals. Thanks for the remembrance of a horrible day. Respectfully, Rett: "When I was born I was so surprised I didn't talk for a year and a half." Gracie Allen
