My dearest friend in need

My dearest friend

how fares my butterfly
his wings so weak
in constant fear
of coming storms

his mind a muddle
with the puzzles
of his thoughts

awake concern in friends
to pick up arms
and join the battle
they helplessly stand by
and sigh

as illness overwhelms
and takes the helm
we compensate
and tales relate
to dissipate his qualms

but nothing can give solace
make amends
for nature takes her course
independent like himself
and comfort bends
to woes and pain
instead of happy bones and skin

oh hidden gods
with magic potions
send him now
your special lotions
cure his bad disease
and put him at his ease

Ah yes, ah yes dear Shirl. Thank you. My love to you too, Ann.

but the reflection of the moon on water, lives." Kenzan.

It is hard to know that a friend is suffering!

You are a women of deep feelings and empathy. Like Shirley I particularly liked the last stanza, but all of it was heartfelt. I say amen to your words and hope.
