All the President's Ears... are lent

All the President’s Ears…are lent…

Great beasts of the sea and earth we can’t listen,
we’re man and we’ve always known best.
The ways that our planet should be nurtured,
is for mans vanity not you large pest.
Wealth is our goal, a commodity that you
know nothing about.
We on the other hand know everything,
but the thing leading us is a snout.

Oh this snout’s much greedier than a Pigs,
silly things all they want is to breed and eat.
We on the other hand know that pure wealth,
will have other people begging at our feet.

Wealth is power so we control armies,
of course we mean the minions who do our
dirty work.
We’re far to busy at our leisure,
nary a day nor a minute do we shirk.

Oh those minions know the power of our coin,
they scrabble to defy each other their chance.
Every year we breed more of them to join,
then being elite we lead them a merry dance.

Their hours of work we’re still stretching,
this way you get one to do the work of two.
Their family life is but a photo or an etching,
they can have leisure in retirement, but that’ll
soon be something new.

So you see we can’t waste time caring for your bubbles,
far to busy keeping the minions at their posts.
Slacken off and resentments stir up little troubles,
they might even take pot shots at their hosts.
We’ll keep drilling for oil you just swim on past,
see we’ve got to keep the home fires burning bright.
Accidents, they won’t ever be as bad as the last,
anyway we cleared that up with a call to the president,
overnight.

Roscoe Llane,

Religion will rip your faith off, and return
for the mask of disbelief that's left.
