Do you know?

Where are you?
Who are you from?
Who will bury you?
Do they know your NAME?

Who are you?
Can you breath?
Can you choke?
Will it work?can you burn?
to nothingness?
And finally, know peace?

Title: Do you know?

Review:

The poem raises existential questions about identity, mortality, and the search for peace. The repetition of the question "Who are you?" creates a sense of uncertainty and introspection. The use of rhetorical questions throughout the poem invites the reader to contemplate these profound inquiries.

However, the poem could benefit from further development in terms of imagery and clarity. Consider incorporating vivid descriptions or metaphors to enhance the emotional impact of the questions being asked. This will help to engage the reader on a deeper level and create a more immersive experience.

Additionally, the poem's structure and flow could be improved. The lines appear disjointed, lacking a cohesive rhythm. Experiment with different line breaks and punctuation to create a more deliberate and intentional structure. This will help guide the reader through the poem and emphasize the intended meaning.

Lastly, the poem's ending could be strengthened. The question "And finally, know peace?" is thought-provoking, but it would be beneficial to provide more context

You raise some interesting questions, however some of them are unclear. for example; the second line in the first verse: (Who are you from?) are you asking what is the parentage of the person you are talking to?
The rest of this piece seams to get darker with more personal questions being asked of the listener. I think you could expand this, making the lines more explicit, for understandings purpose. It is a short poem with a lot of feelings and thoughts crammed into a short space.

Lineage is important

(I swear this site hates me, I try post it gets removed. In my 1st response I was explaining that once you know who you are from, you will know who you truly are)

Thank you for the feedback.

has said, I see a lot of emotions jammed into so small a piece. I know what you mean, when you ask the question about
"Who are you from?" It may be that some are confused by the way it is posed, but I think that most will understand it.
This piece reminds me of an article about a mummy found high in the Tyrolean Alps. All the questions that were asked about
how, what and why he was there. There is also the thought that maybe archeologists have been asking about sacrifices found the world over. I think the greatest question is about what happens to you after you die. I too, would like to see a little expansion of this theme.

There is value to commenting and critique, tell us how you feel about our work.
This must be the place, 'cause there ain't no place like this place anywhere near this place.

They teach us at a young age to know all of your ancestors. But, these days, it's hard to remember.

The death bit, I suppose I'd have to die first. right??. But I shall expand on it :)

Used to tell me
Don't make everyone your enemy
Because,
Someone must bury you.

I realise now she meant anger and hate serves very little purpose
