Thank you for introducing me to the site. It is a nice feeling to be able to make contact with likeminded individuals who share the same passion for writing that I do. It has always been difficult for me to find people like that. And you are welcome. Anytime you need help, just let me know. SIR GEEZER
Geezer is not just a wheezer
he’s knighted you know
by the realm
Sir Geezer of the world wide main
he sends his poems with the rain
to succour all the waiting crops
of humans standing in the docks
and there we sail from pole to pole
at the helm
with dogs and humans on the trail
he’s one for spinning such a tale
those yarns of yore they look so pale
when he takes up his pen
and wields it with panache
the dog he’s waiting panting fast
with eyes of wonder,
ears aghast
he’s quite a blast

Thank you for your comment on path of good intent. I wrote this on 12/31/08. Just after I read a post card with a poem from Frost. I used the line The course over grown of greenery. As a salute to Robbert Frost. It is on of the lines from his pome A Road Not Taken. Hoping most would know that was from him. And the part about To toll upon a road is in reference to no matter what path we take in life there is a price to pay. We all must pay the tolltaker sometime.lol If you would I would like to know what the rule is for the use of a apostrophes. Like I have all ways said “The road to hell is paved with good intent and wasted repent.” The Lightman.

Apostrophes are used to: mark the omission of missing letter or letters from a word,to indicate the posessive case, and denote certain plurals such as cross your T’s. Also a digression from a discourse; like turning aside to speak with an absent person. And we are sped on our way by unthinking sloppy work. That greases the rails! ~ Geezer

However, that won’t be necessary, The threat of having another strong woman telling me how to behave will suffice! LOL My wife is on my butt more than I am. It has just been a couple of rough weeks. Not being able to sit for more than 10 or 15 mins. at a time has made life difficult. Especially having to sit in the taxi for a 12 hr. shift. All I can think of is getting home and lying down for awhile. Then it is such a relief, that I go to sleep. All that lying down hasn’t helped my colitus, and it just seems to be a mad circle. The whole thing got to be depressing, and made me less likely to to do anything at all. I am slowly getting back on track and will be fit real soon. Love and higgest bugs, ~ Gee
