bow to old poets

PABLO NERUDA CHILEAN
ROBERT FROST ROAD NOT TAKEN USA
TS ELIOT USA (TURNED BRITISH)
SHAKESPEARE STRADFORD ON AVON UK
GHALIB (URDU) INDIAN
OMAR KHAYYAM (URDU) PERSIAN

My heart pierces me
again and again
When will you
O poet compose
like these poets
who have gone with the wind
the bell has tolled for them
but in everlasting time
does memory,
their memory remain ingrained

Be sane and learn
from what they have said

The Road not taken
leads one to another destiny
none can compare

The high tides we ought to ride
and
ensure the low does not ebb
and

If one is loved less and less
you too must love less
and

Ghalib has left the world aghast
by his poetry of love

Omar Khayyam has writ
the moving hand writes
and
moves on
not a bit can any time erase it
and

you say what you always do

‘‘Use your brains
and
God will ensure
he looks after you
in heaven
loneliness you will not then miss
Life’s a long kiss of sorts

Love and romance
let rivers like the one at Niagara fall
as ever
compose poetry as no one did ever
and
time alone will then remember
You

The past will tell us of our future.
An interesting exquisite piece you have here.
like how you described your heart.
out springs the very issues of life.
Was a little puzzled half way through though maybe its just me.
Through it all you pulled off a great piece so keep them coming now.

I agree that this is one of your better poems. And it is by reading other past poets that we learn the basis of what is written today........stan

kindness both above
your teachings I relish
flavour you give
thanks
