Awake, Aware....

Awake, Aware…

Inside the reality of reasonable reason,
I didn’t dream the dream I dreamt, I lived
a dream of dreams I dreamt. Or was
it that, dreams I dreamt were just dreams
about dreaming.

Included in these are all nightmarish hells,
wanton mysterious wavers of thought.
As nothing quietens a mind of raging swells,
while sailing nightly on the edge of fraught.

Review Request (Intensity):
I want the raw truth, feel free to knock me on my back
Last few words:
Just woken up...

An interesting concept you have come up with in the lines of this poem! I found it nicely worded and it held my interest. I dream every night and often remember my dreams in the morning after. Especially the nightmares. I dream in full color. I hope I don't offend you by asking if you do the same?

Theese lines really stood out for me:

Included in these are all nightmarish hells,
wanton mysterious wavers of thought.
As nothing quietens a mind of raging swells,
while sailing nightly on the edge of fraught.

always, Cat (& eddy)

Thank you Cat, i don't think i've ever thought about a dream in anything but colour. An intresting thought but i wonder if anyone else can help. I woke one morning and wondered if i'd realy dreamed or was it something that had happened and i'd forgot about Or was it a dream i'd dreamed that felt real, hence this was my poetic thoughts. Thank you again. Love Roscoe..

I. too, have had dreams that seemed so real that I wondered if they really happened. I've also had dreams that came true. Some dreams can be a small glimpse of future events. I beleive it!

A tangled web we weave, where are we in dreams, or awake, or dream of dreams...
A good write the subject fraught with danger, but you arrived at the end
unharmed... Yours Ian.T

Thank you Ian, nice of you to comment. I don't dream as much now, and often wake wondering if i'd really had a dream or just thought about something i'd forgot about. Regards Roscoe...

i wrote a poem similar to this one roscoe
sometimes dreams are more real than 'reality' - it makes one wonder what is real and what is real....

excellently written - i love the repeating of 'dream' - it adds to the confusion
and i really like the line 'wanton mysterious wavers of thought.'

a suggestion (imho)
'Included in these are all nightmarish hells,
wanton mysterious wavers of thought.
As nothing quietens a mind of raging swells,
while sailing nightly on the edge of fraught.'
- the first and third lines of this stanza seem a little long to my ear
perhaps
'Included in these are nightmarish hells,
wanton mysterious wavers of thought.
As nothing quietens minds' raging swells,
while sailing nightly on the edge of fraught.'

Thank you Judy, and thanks for your suggestions.Thinking about it i may change one of the lines, but there's so little difference between what i've written and your suggestions i'll think about it awhile. Love Roscoe...
