Silence; Mon Ami (edit)
I pine for
the comfort of silence
my spirit bends to warp
in the rush of life
streaming all
around me,
in it,
I find a vow
just where I left it
dusty but whole
taking it up,
it unfolds and opens
onto the steps of being
in the discard,
I made
my first mistake,
but in finding it
again,
a pure miracle
is made real
my feet sink
into the ever
darkening shades
of black,
in the cold grip
of eternities hands
I am now the darkness
cradled in black cotton
seeping for nothing,
and the silence
of quiet moments
I now find rest
in the emptiness
but surprisingly
another road
materialized
traveling my horizon,
it teased my peripheral
and invited me to look,
so I did
I found that all it took,
to find perfect stillness?
was to become
a contour
of silhouette,
in the smudge
on your horizon
