I have lived long enough that we ARE one mask after another, the last one is the thought that we are transparent. Yet, a breathless joy is there too. Ann of Norway This has the wholeness of love, its shattered irreparable scar, its gelling to stiffen like the frozen face of a wax-work figure, the mask that hides life's sad grimaces, smiles; the passion of grief laced with the joy of knowledge; the power of presence, the presence of those far away, or lost, the pathos of a mother's melancholy at the death of their child. "the moon brushes to wax".............."a mask of smiles," The Noh play of life, where man disguises his real self and acts so intensely, becomes another, and yet expresses the depth of man's expressions of being human. Ann of Norway Your candle is a candle lit, with wax that has no ending, you are the wick, while the drip of tears the melting, and if this candle was in space it would burn horizontally, holding itself close to earth as does the hovering bird above its nest, protective, loving, warm, acting as the rise and fall of the sun, each day repeating its unspoken vows of motherhood, its memories recorded in the flame, as many colours coming and going again and again, pulsating like the life of a star, so far away, yet never as we see it in the great wide sky of times distance. Love to the flame of a mother's love and the constancy of its life that never dies; just changes shape. Love to you dearest Jayne Chloe may many sunsrises bless your life with joy.
