You’ve won me my Lord

You ride well my LordUpon your flighty steed.Take me with you, my LordI can fill most every need.I ride hard,I fight fiercely everyday,Dragons and murderous witchesBeside you I can slay.I am but woman, my Lord. With body to warm youAll the night longAnd at the light of dawnWith smile upon your faceI will girth my horse tightlyAnd gallop at your pace.Take me my LordI am yours in every wayBut wary may you beIf with other wench you playTake me whole or not at allA merging of my body, mind and soul

Dear Seabhac

Wow... am I the first to comment? A sweet little ditty indeed. I enjoyed it immeasurably. Especially the old style spin. Always, Cat

Hi Ziggy

Poetry in song ...you must take the time to listen, this one referred to is called Lady Midnight...the lyrics are just magic. The closing words are her call..."you've won me .you've won me my Lord". Seabhac

I Love The Old English Too

Venus I Love The Old English Too, Seabhac. I like the sensual aspect of it as well. "A merging of my body, mind and soul." Leaves a force to be reckoned with. Very nice pen and the flow and rhythm carries the reader along with you.Two thumbs up from me **Smiles** Hugs, Venus xxx

Lovely to have you visit Venus

This was a little more light hearted than a lot of my previous work..Spring always does this to me ...I know the ground here still has snow on it but I see the little tips of bulbs pushing up and the bird song has changed to flirting song. Thanks for the thumbs up and smiles Seabhac

I love it!

I especially liked the last stanza, but wary may you be if by other wench you play take me whole or not at all a merging of body, mind and soul I was hesitant at first because I'd thought it was a religious poem because of the title, but it turned out to be a delightful poem. I loved it!
