after the gold rush

i walk the line between
the floral 50's and free-sex seventies,
the presha of kids, money and bathroom tiles,
he wants me to enjoy it
and desire him
not just suffer it and allow him

if humans were to get it right
as some must do,
feeling loving and protected,
would we be so brutal with our surroundings?
would the brim ful enable
a sensitive perception
that life in life
is quite enough?

This only caught my eye...

...because I am a fan of a band called goldrush. I really enjoyed the read. Especially the references to 50's and 70's. I am very old school and that one line alone to me spoke volumes. Much love Millage x
