the wonder of a child
the wonder of a child
nestled under your heart
a beat so mild
like a symphony by Mozart
a girl or a boy
a bundle of joy
exuberant emotions
overwhelming commotions
an unfamiliar feeling
a movement so startling
reaching the highest pitch of a note
surfing to keep you afloat
the explosion of a new beginning
the eruption of life is wringing
cradled against your heart
never to be apart
a smile evokes happiness
so ready to impress
cries are absorbed by a kiss
once more to return to bliss
a bond never to be broken
between mother and child
a truer word was never spoken
you are so beguiled
by that wonder of a child
nestled under your heart
a beat so mild
like a symphony by Mozart
a girl or a boy
a bundle of joy
exuberant emotions
overwhelming commotions
an unfamiliar feeling
a movement so startling
reaching the highest pitch of a note
surfing to keep you afloat
the explosion of a new beginning
the eruption of life is wringing
cradled against your heart
never to be apart
a smile evokes happiness
so ready to impress
cries are absorbed by a kiss
once more to return to bliss
a bond never to be broken
between mother and child
a truer word was never spoken
you are so beguiled
by that wonder of a child
